Lambert: Morally I Think Us Playing Football is Wrong
Actually I don't agree. Putting ITFC aside for one moment, having football on the TV is a massive escape for many many 100,000's of people who are stuck at home. It's an emotional outlet during a very difficult psychological time. Metal health is a massive part of the covid lockdown, football for many helps.
Glutton for punishment, but I still look forward ITFC playing. I still hope we'll turn things around. As they say hope dies last............
South West Branch Call For Change of Manager
A very well written press release.
While I was in the PL to stay camp (up until Saturday evening!), I too, am wondering if now is the time for a change.
The fact we seem so ridged and no plan B during games is a concern. I don't understand why as a team we can't be more flexible, adjusting to whatever transpires in front of us during 90 mins.
The players need a lift and a kick up the backside; a change of Management will do that.
Find the cash somehow for Eddie Howe please Marcus!
Dyer: Terry Butcher - What a Guy!
And there chaps, is the future of ITFC - it's gonna be great!
Lets get behind the club and forget about ridiculous demo's.
Blue Action Plan Organised Protest
I hope the boys win big that day and you all look like numpties.
This is so short sighted it is laughable. We are lucky to have a club. Fiscally the club is well managed and before I get the debt going up comment, the debt is purely Marcus’s and when he goes, unless he sells for a chunk he will never see that back. He bank rolls us for millions each year, the young assets are being tied down to long expensive contracts, the academy is starting to produce home grown talent and we have a very experienced back room staff including some old Ipswich greats.
Lambert is not a bad manager. He has a terrible injury list. We had 10 possible first team out fielded starters unavailable the other day. Doesn’t matter what division you are in, that will hurt any team.
I assume that this is being led by those who expect multi million pound buys and Roy of the Rovers storylines. Get real. The club needs the fans to get behind the team not some demonstration.
Gathering people in this current period is poor judgment, though would be giving a wide berth with or without Covid.
Blues Boss Lambert Linked With Celtic
Queue the "i'll drive him there myself" comments.
I for one, think Lambert will get us up. Some of the stick he gets is unjust. I remember how many of you were saying in those lofty Championship days, I'd rather be in league 1 playing our youngsters than watching what MM served up. Be careful what you wish for.
McCarthy Set For APOEL Nicosia
While I know there is bad blood with Mick, I'm thankful for the job he did keeping us at a semi decent level of UK football. The hand he was dealt was terrible and worked wonders keeping us in the championship. With the kids coming through and a few of his gem finds, under him, we'd have a shot at the Championship now.
It was that Paul#1 character that killed us. Paul#2 i think will get us there too, just taking the scenic root!
Good luck Mick!
New Dad Dozzell Never Saw Future Away From Portman Road
Fast forward 15 years 6 months…..TWTD Headline:
Lorenzo Dozzell becomes Ipswich’s youngest ever scorer on his debut, as father Andre plays his final match for Ipswich, confirming yet another champions league qualification.
Evans: We Need to Be a Footballing Team
Direct / physical approach: free transfers and journeymen
Footballing team; millions and millions.
Over to you Marcus.............
Split Loyalties for Navy Blue
He's not the only one. I grew up on the Priestfield terraces. I could sneak off to Gillingham from Canterbury without the parents knowing. Portman road was a tad to far for that.
town win all day long though.
Norwood Set for Wrestling Debut
I know nothing about WWE, whats an enforcer? If it's non contact and he's not in any danger of getting injured, i'd say go for it.
Evans on Relegation, New Arrivals and the Promotion Challenge
I’m very pleased that ME has finally come out and explained what most of us thought was going on in the background, but couldn’t be sure.
I actually firmly believe that he does not pocket any of the money received from transfers and sell on’s. Running a football club is a financial black whole and the Premier League has a lot to answer to for that.
I would however, be delighted if an accountant who is FFP savvy could put a figure of how much ME invests into ITFC each year comparing that to how much he actually could without breaking the rules.
