| News Comment | McKenna: We Need to Enjoy Nights Like Tonight at 08:59:33
The even bigger picture, Super McK is having those analytical session with the entire squad and I’d not be surprised if that’s happening all the way down to the Under 9s! I read every single word of his interviews with an open mouth. I’ve been super McK football educated and believe now, I could be a football manger! |
| News Comment | Page: Burns Pulled Hamstring at 06:54:25
My word, what a funny bunch some of you are. It could have easily happened in the behind closed doors friendly with Wet Spam. Injuries are part of football. I’d much rather he was out playing with Internationals, than sitting at home in cotton wool. |
| News Comment | Town Make Companies House Filings at 08:55:30
The club is in a lot lot healthier position than it was before the takeover. It looks scary when one sees at all the zero's being invested in cash related shares, but we have to remember the value of the ITFC asset is growing quicker than the monies being ploughed in. The stadium is worth more now its been tided up and the infrastructure vastly improved (state of the art pitch, large screen, land around the stadium acquired, better match day experience etc) the value of the playing squad is at least 3 times if not more, than it was during ME last season in charge) and of course the 1000's of extra fans enjoying matchdays and all the associated spin offs. ITFC Value - cash investment = well in the black. There is no guarantee they would sell, even when the club will reach it's highest value ceiling. They will be able to use the value of the asset to finance other income generating projects. With what we have been through the last 20 odd years, I'm a pessimistic Town fan, and like the many it all does seem to be too good to be true, but as hard as it is to believe, we are in a good place! |
| News Comment | Ashton: We're Going to Have to Look at the Capacity of the Stadium at 17:10:37
I'd love to see the ground developed into a 40k arena, but that isn't now. Even if they pushed the button to redevelop the Cobbold, it would take a minimum of 6 months to prepare a master plan, another 6-12 months for the architect and club to come up and agree a design and then all the public & council consultations. It could take up to 3 years before even a brick would be laid. MA talks about finding ways to immediately achieve extra capacity. Would standing be a possibility for the next couple of seasons? |
| News Comment | Town Announce £12.6m Loss at 15:49:27
We might have lost on the cash flow, but the ITFC brand and asset has certainly gained in value at a much greater rate. |
| News Comment | Wright: We're Going Through a Recruitment Process at 14:29:17
Yes, would seem that Marvin will take the lead on that.... “We went through a recruitment process for those two positions,” Wright continued. “Marvin will be assistant academy manager, so effectively Marvin will be responsible for all the off-field parts of the academy, so operations, education, player care, safe-guarding. |
| News Comment | Judge to Play No Further Part as Contract Extension Not Activated at 09:15:49
Judge was one of the very few 1st teamers i'd have kept. Sad the way it has been done. surely they could have made an addendum to his contract allowing him to play the season out without invoking the extra year contract. He'd then be able to keep fit and be in the shop window for next season. A win, win. I still think he's a great player at this level, in the right team. If this is a sign that the new owners don't think he's good enough we have some potentially very exciting signing beckoning????!!!! I can see only Norward and Downes being left next season, with perhaps Wolfie on the bench. INTERSTING TIMES!!!! |
| News Comment | Lambert: Morally I Think Us Playing Football is Wrong at 12:03:02
Actually I don't agree. Putting ITFC aside for one moment, having football on the TV is a massive escape for many many 100,000's of people who are stuck at home. It's an emotional outlet during a very difficult psychological time. Metal health is a massive part of the covid lockdown, football for many helps. Glutton for punishment, but I still look forward ITFC playing. I still hope we'll turn things around. As they say hope dies last............ |
| News Comment | South West Branch Call For Change of Manager at 12:38:50
A very well written press release. While I was in the PL to stay camp (up until Saturday evening!), I too, am wondering if now is the time for a change. The fact we seem so ridged and no plan B during games is a concern. I don't understand why as a team we can't be more flexible, adjusting to whatever transpires in front of us during 90 mins. The players need a lift and a kick up the backside; a change of Management will do that. Find the cash somehow for Eddie Howe please Marcus! |
| News Comment | Dyer: Terry Butcher - What a Guy! at 13:20:54
And there chaps, is the future of ITFC - it's gonna be great! Lets get behind the club and forget about ridiculous demo's. |
| News Comment | Blue Action Plan Organised Protest at 10:41:06
I hope the boys win big that day and you all look like numpties. This is so short sighted it is laughable. We are lucky to have a club. Fiscally the club is well managed and before I get the debt going up comment, the debt is purely Marcus's and when he goes, unless he sells for a chunk he will never see that back. He bank rolls us for millions each year, the young assets are being tied down to long expensive contracts, the academy is starting to produce home grown talent and we have a very experienced back room staff including some old Ipswich greats. Lambert is not a bad manager. He has a terrible injury list. We had 10 possible first team out fielded starters unavailable the other day. Doesn't matter what division you are in, that will hurt any team. I assume that this is being led by those who expect multi million pound buys and Roy of the Rovers storylines. Get real. The club needs the fans to get behind the team not some demonstration. Gathering people in this current period is poor judgment, though would be giving a wide berth with or without Covid. |
| News Comment | Blues Boss Lambert Linked With Celtic at 20:51:40
Queue the "i'll drive him there myself" comments. I for one, think Lambert will get us up. Some of the stick he gets is unjust. I remember how many of you were saying in those lofty Championship days, I'd rather be in league 1 playing our youngsters than watching what MM served up. Be careful what you wish for. |
