As we come to the end of another crappy year on all fronts let's cheer ourselves up with some jokes. What's been your favourite joke this year? (No Boris Johnson replies please) Here's my effort for what it's worth:
Man goes into a shop and buys 2 eggs, a banana and an apple. He goes to the checkout to pay and the cashier rings them up, looks at him and says 'I bet you're single' He replies as a matter of fact I am. How did you know? She says.......... because you're ugly.
Stupid I know but it's MY kind of stupid. Happy new year all.
Anyone else think that Wycombe might have made a bit of a Boo-Boo by postponing tomorrow's match? I think that if I was them I'd rather play us now even with their call up's missing than later on in the season when we will be in much better form and will have 'gelled'. Make no mistake although 100 points is not going to happen I wouldn't be at all surprised to see 100 goals scored... once we click some teams are to quote Basil Fawlty 'going to get a right good thrashing'
It's strange but I don't think I've ever been so nervous before a football match, even Town games. I think I watched the 1966 world cup final (I was 7 so memories are vague) and in the 78 cup final I was more excited than nervous as we were not expected to win. 1981 was different for a couple of reasons: 1. It was over 2 legs so if the first leg didn't go to plan there was another game to put it right and 2. With the team we had I was ultra confident we would win even if our results up to the final had not been that great. The 2000 play off victory was meh to me as my mum died a week before the game and I wasn't on planet earth... I gave my tickets away and half watched it on tv. Even the 'Reuser-Premiership' moment was greeted with a semi clenched fist and a muffled 'yes'. This is different though, it might be that it will probably be the last major final I'll see England participate in, I just don't know why but I'm getting really worked up about it all lol.
For any new users don't forget: if you want commentary the Radio Suffolk is not available online so use the settings option and click Home and you will get the Gillingham commentary (probably slightly biased but whatever) Nice to hear other fans opinions of us to be fair.
Despite having 2 books on the go I still need loads, hence I have a load of 'swapsies' including Beattie, Holland, SirBob to name a few. If anyone is in a similar position message me and perhaps we can help each other. Oh and if there's anyone out there who is out of the catchment area for obtaining stickers and would like my 2nd album when complete again message me. 1st come 1st served.
