Celina: Important Goal Meant a Lot
I can only imagine how difficult it was to post that statement Andy.
My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Sending you heart felt wishes and the strength to come to terms with such an awful event.
Roberts Pleased to Send Co-Owner Johnson Home With a Smile
I didn't post because straight after the match I drove to my ladies to do some scoring of my own.
I was starting to believe for the first time in years until Fleetwood scored and when Celina banged in the winner I got a feeling that we might just achieve our goal of promotion this season.
If we can navigate the next two league games without a disaster it's game on!
Get in there town!!!
Cook: As Complete a Performance as We've Had This Season
Those of us that find our club mid table of the third division and aren't delighted about that do seem to be vilified when Ipswich win.
I'm sure that you and others that haven't been overly impressed with things so far would like nothing else than Cook, or for that matter, whoever the manager is, to succeed.
Childish comments like " Where are the doubters and negs " and " Happy clappers " infuriate me.
We all want town to win every game but we all have different opinions.
And from your post, having lived through the Robson years, I should imagine you are even more depressed about the current position than us sprightly 46 year olds! 😂
Portsmouth 0-4 Ipswich Town - Match Report
1260 away fans on a Tuesday night for a third division match.
Town always have had the best away support in the country for as long as I can remember.
Well we turned out for both halves and kept a clean sheet, fantastic.
Let's hope this is the beginning of the team coming together. There is so much football to be played, other teams will falter, anything is possible.
As is drawing with Fleetwood and losing to Plymouth so feet firmly on the ground.
Great performance so well done Cook and the players.
Portsmouth v Ipswich Town - Predictions
Predicting any result in this division is difficult enough, let alone a game involving Ipswich!
Would anyone be surprised if we got tonked 3-0, turned it on and played well in both halves and scored a hat full or threw away a strong lead to draw?
Certainly Cook needs to get his team to perform tonight, not only to ease any pressure on himself but to give us fans belief that this current project will eventually be a success.
Let's hope the team go on and make a statement against one of the 'bigger' clubs in this league.
Cambridge United 2-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
Oh wait a minute.......
Sudbury in the cup draw tomorrow?
A nice deflating local derby defeat to another non league team would probably suck any remaining positive blood from my system.
Cook: Changes But Team Will Be Very Competitive
Being the massive fan of sarcasm that I am, well done on your latest post.
People say it's the lowest form of wit yet I tend to disagree.
I feel it takes a certain level of intelligence for it to be delivered successfully.
Morsy: We Let Ourselves Down
There is a very good reason they play like a non league side.
With the exception of Sheffield Wednesday and West Ham schoolboys, every team we've played this season were non league not that long ago.
Still, at least it can't get any worse........
Former Striker Armstrong Recovering After Emergency Surgery
Happy memories Berts chin.
Me and the gang had such a great experience being in one of the world's most iconic stadiums.
Never a penalty but the ref gave us 15000 supporters a little gift for making the effort 😂
Best wishes Alun, speedy recovery.
From the San Siro to the Wham.....
Like filling up your tank with petrol and getting home to find it's all leaked out.
Fans Offered Chance to Have Name on Beattie Statue Plinth
Not so sure about this plan.
I find it a little crass to be honest.
Surely this is a memorial, a show of respect to our greatest ever player and only about Kevin Beattie?
Thousands of town fans of differing incomes and financial circumstances have pulled together and donated what they could afford, so surely this should be attributed to all Ipswich supporters not just the few wealthy enough to make a large donation at the final hurdle?
Wouldn't an inscription acknowledging that all town fans made this possible through their love of the Beat?
Just my early morning thoughts, I just think it a bit wrong that only 20 names should be mentioned ( if at all ) when this was a coming together of the community of the Ipswich town fans 'family'.
Cook: Tonight is Probably the First Time We’ve Looked a Team
Well said DaGremloid.
Personally I wasn't a Cook in or out but everyone needs to calm down a little despite last night's excellent performance.
Let's hope that this is the beginning of what we all craved and expected pre season but do remember this is still very much work in progress and there will be disappointments along the way before everything clicks.
Might I add that the ' moaners ' have every right to after the long decline of this club.
If you gave everything you had to a partner for twenty years with nothing in return you wouldn't have been loyal for a tenth of this time!
Not singling out any individual posts ( not my style ) but to read that there are posters on this site that want Ipswich to lose is preposterous.
Whoever is in charge, we all want our club to succeed.
Starting to believe ( with caution ) that promotion is well within reach at still, very early days in the season.
But last night felt great 😁
