The fact that ‘wh*re' has been autochanged to ‘white' says it all.

Town Announce Partnership With HerGameToo
at 22:45:44

I've posted on Twitter and Facebook about the ‘Die, Die Delia' song, and received a hail of abuse. I hate it, I think it's sexist, and felt embarrassed by it when my wife came to a Town game earlier in the season. People seem to think that describing a woman as ‘a white' is ok. It's not, no matter who she is and which club she is associated with. I've been called all of the predictable things - ‘woke', ‘wet wipe' and ‘a Karen' ( the author of the last one failing to see the irony of what they'd said) - plus a couple of ‘unoffended' women fans claiming to speak for the whole of their gender. Football grounds seem the last bastion of 1970s - style sexism and this this has to stop. You can support your team and even hate your rivals without resorting to this puerile idiocy.

Owner Evans Issues Statement
at 22:58:39

Eyewash of the most staggering proportions. The ‘careful what you wish for' bit is shockingly disingenuous. He didn't sack McCarthy; therefore it wasn't his ‘mistake'! He's just using this as an excuse to not sack Lambert because it'll cost him a fortune. All this man ever does on the rare occasions he ‘says' anything is spout corporate nonsense, revealing his total lack of passion for the game and total lack of understanding of what it means to be a fan.

Bluearmy 81 I logged in specially just to vote up your comment. I can't believe how tolerant we are of the man who is destroying our club. We're all talking about 'togetherness', but we had that before he bowled up and set about wrecking it with his 'corporate' approach to club ownership. Just because he's not in the mould of the usual owner -villain a la Oystons etc doesn't make him good. I just wish he would sod off. I actually quite liked David Sheepshanks.

Braham Blue - I take full "responsibility' for wanting that arrogant, pig-headed, abusive, anti-football merchant out of our club. Funny that he's still not in a job, just pontificating in the media. But our malaise isn't about the managers, it's about the half -arsed, barely interested approach to football club ownership of the person at the helm. Until Evans goes, we're only headed in one direction. Down.

McCarthy: No Suggestion of Not Seeing Season Out
at 13:32:58

Unbelievable arrogance. Sees himself as more important than the club. If ever Evans needed to come out and say something it's now. But he won't because he doesn't give a toss.

McCarthy: We've Got to Stick Together Or It'll Really Go Pear-Shaped
at 23:27:35

"I don't listen to them or take a great deal of notice.” Imagine that being said about customers in any other business. This is why McCarthy has to go: his appalling disrespect for the people who pay his wages. Yes, throw in the unwatchable football, but ultimately it's his arrogance, rudeness and contempt which are the most unacceptable aspects of his tenure that we've had to endure.

Couldn't give a toss whether McCarthy is there or not. It's Evans. Is he actually still alive? Does he, or did he ever, actually exist? How an owner of a business can treat its customers with such utter contempt is breathtaking. I feel personally insulted that the person in charge of the club I have supported for 43 years deems me so unimportant that he can't be arsed to just occasionally make a public appearance to communicate his vision for the club. It's simply not good enough.

Meet the Club at Supporters Club AGM

Gilesy sums up my sentiments exactly - we've even been fans about the same time (74-75 for me).

In what other walk of life does the owner of a business remain entirely invisible and refuse point blank to communicate directly to its customers? But that's probably the key issue - Evans doesn't see Ipswich fans as customers at all, and the withdrawal of their custom by not coming to games any more doesn't hurt him in the pocket. So he will just carry on showing no interest, remaining invisible and putting his patsy up to go through the motions so he can tick the box of engaging with fans. He has been a disaster for the club. I'm sure if David Sheepshanks had foreseen the way Evans was going to behave he would not have recommended the sale of the club to Evans.

McCarthy Bitterly Disappointed But Pleased With Performance
at 22:23:13

Totally, Kiwi. The traditions of the club have been totally betrayed by Evans and his succession of dinosaur managers. Norwich appoint a guy to scout out a new coach. We persist with the same old tw@t because the owner can't be bothered. The Portugese t@sser was right - they are a better club than us at the moment, in every respect.

McCarthy Bitterly Disappointed But Pleased With Performance
at 17:43:19

The visiting coach has tactical ability and a plan; his comments reflect that. But he didn't need to be a genius to cope with our one dimensional garbage. He was expecting hoof ball and set his team up to deal with it, and they did, very comfortably. Doesn't Evans look around and realise that other clubs have modern, intelligent coaches, whilst his is stuck playing the sort of dross that he learned under Jack Charlton playing for Ireland? No need to answer that. He probably wasn't even there. And therein lies the biggest issue by far: the invisibility, apathy and disinterest of the owner. It's a fact that we have made zero progress in ten years of his ownership. At least Sheepshanks was a fan and cared.

It simply beggars belief that anyone can be defending McCarty and/or Evans. How much more stagnation, tedium and ineptitude are you prepared to put up with? Are you happy with crowds of 14,000 and sliding down the table? Don't you think it's time for change??

Ipswich Town 0-2 Fulham - Match Report
at 18:44:27

It's funny, because McCarthy has been criticised in the past for trying to match the other team. This was probably the one game in which he should have done that. Surely enough was learnt from Boxing Day to know that Fulham pass round you and you have to try and stop that? It strikes me that the first decent coach Mugabe comes up against he's outthought and outplayed. Could have been a different story with Huws and Adeyemi available, perhaps... But how the hell have we got a full treatment room in AUGUST?

McCarthy: Good, Solid, Disciplined, Hard-Working and We Put the Ball in the Net
at 09:11:04

Just ridiculous. Suddenly Mugabe is a football genius and those of us who were critical of his awful football, arrogance and total contempt for the fans are"idiots". I've heard of short memories before, but this is more like people's brains have been restored to their factory settings. Yes the summer signings have been good, and the results in the face of a shocking injury list excellent, but we have played no-one of any real quality yet and feet surely need to be kept on the ground. Mick McCarthy for me remains a manager with outdated ideas and an appalling lack of humility.

McCarthy: Good, Solid, Disciplined, Hard-Working and We Put the Ball in the Net

People are getting carried away. We haven't played anyone of real quality yet, and last week at Barnsley we could have been three down at HT. sounded similar today. I give McCarthy credit for the signings this summer and a different approach, but I don't think I'm ever going to be a fan of his. The pitiful size of the crowd today shows how many fans have been lost and remain to be convinced that the abysmal turgidness of the past two seasons is behind us.

Totally agree, Cornishblu. It was awful being there today. The most entertainment was provided by the inflatable dinosaur in the crowd, and the kids at HT looked more like a team than us. I also agree with you about this bizarre acceptance of utter mediocrity. So what if we had nine changes? That team should still be capable of not losing to the worst team this division has seen for years. I was so embarrassed walking back to the car that I hid my scarf.

Milne: Stay With Mick
at 15:44:11

Simply breathtaking lack of understanding of current fan opinion. You'd think the plummeting crowds might be a bit of a clue. His statement reaches the depths of patronising old sh1t when he talks about the two recent signings. One was an unattached full back absolutely no one else was interested in, the other a striker who can't get into a National League side's team. If paying customers were fobbed off like this in any other walk of life they would be hammering at the door demanding their money back. No one has a divine right to success in sport, but the people who provide the lifeblood to football clubs have a right not to be treated like complete idiots.
