| News Comment | Blue Action to Trial Cobbold Stand Move at 07:36:04
If the club wants to improve the atmosphere, then stick the away fans in that block next to the north stand. If they won't do that then the BA group should all move up to the churchman's or what ever it's called now. They are to far apart from each other to really get any banter going, as they can rarely hear each other. I've watched videos from the away end and from the north stand after being at games. You would think neither existed sometimes. |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Need It to Be as Noisy as Possible at 09:45:21
I've always thought the atmosphere would improve if the away fans were moved from the churchman's back towards the north stand. Most away fans think we are a quiet bunch. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Disappointing Night at 01:19:42
He's proved one thing. By doing exactly what McCarthy, Hurst, lambert and cook did will get you nowhere in the cups. I mean ffs if you want to mess around with the side do it in the papa johns or what ever it's called. It's also worth mentioning that he finished even further away from the playoffs in terms of points than where cook left us. Lambert got sacked for leaving us 3 points off the play offs with no money what so ever. Not a dig at McKenna but surely he'd have been aware at how awful we've been in cups and at least made an effort to try and out that right rather than spouting the same garbage we've heard over and over again. Poor form imo. |
| News Comment | McKenna Keen to Progress in Carabao Cup at 11:11:14
We are a massive club remember. Far to big to worry about having a cup run in this or the FA Cup. The chance of getting a decent premier league side at Portman Road is something we would never entertain and why would we?? As has been mentioned. Play a decent side, create a winning mentality and build confidence. Every manager in the last 20 years has treated these competitions as a joke. I hope our current one doesn't follow that ridiculous trend. |
| News Comment | Crewe Alexandra 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:20:46
Points wise we are now further away from the play offs than when Cook left. That is fact. I like McK. The football has been decent. But we have drawn against most of the bottom teams in the last couple of months which has cost us huge. Any other of our previous managers would be getting dogs abuse for such results. Im sure he will be given time and a few of ‘his' signings will come in. I just hope we hit the ground running next season. Depending on who goes up this year and with derby coming down with likely new owners there could be some big clubs trying to get out of league 1 next year. Well done to all that went today. Very impressive. Let's hope the loyal support that's been shown this season is rewarded in the next. |

Think about the side he assembled also on a budget when we were in the play offs season after season and compare that to what we have witnessed since. Shows how far we have fallen and how we are a million miles away from getting back there. |

I've watched those playoff games against Bolton and Barnsley numerous times!! What worries me most is this......... Think about that squad we had at those times... Think about how far the premier league and the championship has moved on since those times... Think about where we are now... If it was tough then, my god we need a miracle now. |

He was at his best with Mike Parry for a few years. Was radio gold that pairing. Always have talkSPORT on in the car and at the office. Was a bit young when he was playing for us but heard and seen plenty of clips!!! |
| News Comment | Dobra on Target as U23s Draw at Cardiff at 21:05:02
I'm sure Dobra feels he has a bright future at Ipswich. It's a scandal he's not at least been tried on a few more occasions. One of no other players I can think of that might actually get people out of their seats. |
| News Comment | Taylor: First Half Fantastic in Game of Two Halves at 20:46:16
I was having a conversation with a friend of mine just a few weeks ago. He seemed to think we were gonna walk the league based on our league position at the time and suggested it must be a walk in the park. I told him we had only played what I would call well once all season and that was against Sunderland which resulted in a draw. In nearly every other game we have been very ordinary for at least half of the game and our position in the league was entirely false. IMO we are only 2nd due to the quality the rest of the league has to offer. Lamberts constant changing of players and formations to me is not a sign that he knows what he's doing. Yes the club and fans are closer together but that wouldn't be difficult after the last ten years, we've dropped a division and are actually winning a few games. I just hope the side becomes more settled and the performances improve because if they don't even in this league our luck will run out. I realise I'm being negative and some won't like but come on, have we really played well all season? If we were a good side I'd say well that's what happens when ur not at ur best, u still win. But in reality if we carry on the way we are I can't see us making play offs. |
| News Comment | Blues Linked With Alternative Bialkowski Swap at 08:12:11
A year or so ago Bart was considered pretty much the best goalkeeper outside the premier league. Better than several in it by all accounts. Now a ‘loan' move to Milwall seems to be on the table? What's gone wrong? The alleged 20 bag a week he's on? Sudden loss of form? Or basically he and lambert don't get on? The fact that we can't seem to offload him for half decent money is baffling. |
