The Jim Magilton Interview - Part One
I’ve watched those playoff games against Bolton and Barnsley numerous times!!
What worries me most is this.........
Think about that squad we had at those times...
Think about how far the premier league and the championship has moved on since those times...
Think about where we are now...
If it was tough then, my god we need a miracle now.
Brazil Announces Semi-Retirement
He was at his best with Mike Parry for a few years. Was radio gold that pairing.
Always have talkSPORT on in the car and at the office.
Was a bit young when he was playing for us but heard and seen plenty of clips!!!
Dobra on Target as U23s Draw at Cardiff
I’m sure Dobra feels he has a bright future at Ipswich.
It’s a scandal he’s not at least been tried on a few more occasions.
One of no other players I can think of that might actually get people out of their seats.
Taylor: First Half Fantastic in Game of Two Halves
I was having a conversation with a friend of mine just a few weeks ago. He seemed to think we were gonna walk the league based on our league position at the time and suggested it must be a walk in the park.
I told him we had only played what I would call well once all season and that was against Sunderland which resulted in a draw.
In nearly every other game we have been very ordinary for at least half of the game and our position in the league was entirely false.
IMO we are only 2nd due to the quality the rest of the league has to offer.
Lamberts constant changing of players and formations to me is not a sign that he knows what he’s doing. Yes the club and fans are closer together but that wouldn’t be difficult after the last ten years, we’ve dropped a division and are actually winning a few games.
I just hope the side becomes more settled and the performances improve because if they don’t even in this league our luck will run out.
I realise I’m being negative and some won’t like but come on, have we really played well all season? If we were a good side I’d say well that’s what happens when ur not at ur best, u still win. But in reality if we carry on the way we are I can’t see us making play offs.
Blues Linked With Alternative Bialkowski Swap
A year or so ago Bart was considered pretty much the best goalkeeper outside the premier league. Better than several in it by all accounts.
Now a ‘loan’ move to Milwall seems to be on the table?
What’s gone wrong? The alleged 20 bag a week he’s on? Sudden loss of form? Or basically he and lambert don’t get on?
The fact that we can’t seem to offload him for half decent money is baffling.
O'Neill: Season Ticket Announcement on Wednesday
I’d rather have 20,000 people in my Stadium paying £15 who can maybe bring their kid(s) for a fiver than have 10,000 people paying £30.
This club has served up nothing but dreadful dire football for the last 5 years with pretty much zero entertainment.
Get the fans in, get the kids in and make it affordable. The more people in the ground the more match day revenue you will make. More beer sales, programmes, food and clubshop revenue.
Let the away fans in on the cheap aswell, get the atmosphere going and do everything you can to get people in the stadium. Again some of the smaller clubs will only be bringing a few hundred to visit Portman Road at £30-£40 a pop.
For once I hope a correct decision is made. I somehow doubt it tho.
Ipswich Town 1-1 Birmingham City - Match Report
At least we got another possible route to Wembley in the Johnstones Paint Trophy or whatever it’s called now!!
Our previous managers decided Ipswich Town were way to big of a club to bother with the FA Cup maybe this could be our chance at glory if we take it seriously!!
McCarthy Hoping to Restore Feelgood Factor With Derby Win
Unfortunately Guentchev most people on here know that the sad fact is thus...... Norwich are a far superior team.
Several years ago it would have killed me to say that, in fact I probably couldn't bring myself to say those words!!
I guess after about 10 years of watching mainly awful football you just have to admit the truth and not be blind to the facts.
I never would have been feeling like this under a George Burley team going into ANY game, as I always thought we had the ability and players to beat anyone home or away.
Unfortunately those days are long gone. Most honest Ipswich fans who take off their blue glasses know that.
QPR 1-0 Town - Match Report
I'm not going to bother commenting on the game. It's been pretty well summarised.
But have to mention yet another brilliant away following. 3,200 fans is incredible. Even though the game is not much of a journey from Ipswich it's still phenomenal support. Well done to all that still pay their hard earned to watch what mostly is pretty much awful football.
I went to old Trafford Tuesday and Stoke didn't have anywhere near that many. I watched West Ham away at saints after the game today and there were empty seats a'plenty in the away end.
I don't think I've ever heard MM mention what is clearly some of the best away support not just in the championship but in the country.
And that p***es me off more than that s**t brand of football he decides to play most of the time.
