Pretty happy with this. Should link up well with Chaplin, Al-Hamadi and good to have the three Welsh boys playing together. We should also score more from set pieces (corners!) and his height might help when we're under pressure from opposition corners. |
| News Comment | New Kits Fastest-Selling in Town History at 16:59:52
Very happy that people are buying the shirts, supporting the club and a very worthy charity. You're never going to please all if the people all of the time. I prefer the away to the home this year, but might end up buying the light blue/green training shirt just for a change. Can't afford to buy both and given I've bought the home shirt for last few seasons, might make a nice change to have something a bit different in the wardrobe. |
| News Comment | Ashton: We're Going to Have to Look at the Capacity of the Stadium at 12:13:07
It's maintenance as much as anything else, the Cobbold stand will need a higher level of repair and maintenance to remain safe, compliant and a nice place to be than a brand new stand will, add the increase in revenue that more executive boxes would bring in, corporate function rooms, increased ticket sales and it becomes a bit of a no brainer. Build a new stand and increase the capacity by say five thousand, should be about right. If things continue to go well and are sustainable, rebuild the Pioneer (sorry, Magnus) stand to take capacity to over 40K. That should really be enough. At the end of the day, better to have a packed, buzzing ground than one half empty. |
| News Comment | Mowbray Confirmed Sunderland Boss at 10:24:41
Best of luck Mogga. Top man. Would have much preferred to see him take the reins of Town above most of our Managers over the last 10+ years. Very thankful we have KM now. |
| News Comment | Town Launch Third Strip at 11:12:05
Great marketing by the club and nice to have a third shirt as we seem to be one of the only clubs at any level that never get one. The bigger clubs may shift shirts by signing star names, Ed, is doing that for us single-handedly, whilst also putting his own money into the club! Great stuff. |
| News Comment | Stoke Favourites to Sign Celina at 11:24:13
Would love him to sign. I appreciate he's inconsistent, but many skilful, nautrally gifted players are, at every level of the game. He's probably the most naturally gifted in the whole squad but again, I do understand and accept if the club can't afford (or want) to spend that amount of money on somebody that won't be one of the first names on the team sheet week in week out. And to be fair to him, the opportunity to play at Championship level on the same wages he's currently on with a permanent or loan move, it must be a difficult decision for the lad. |

The fact the website is struggling and currently has a 40 minute waiting time, speaks volumes. #COYB. |
| News Comment | Town Reveal New Kits at 10:31:22
I like them both. I'm a big fan of Adidas and love the history and association we have with them but their kits, especially for any club below the top tiers, are generic. These kits have something different and some thought an d creativity has gone into them. The 91/92 season was very special and the nod to that shirt brings back very happy memories. I've also always loved the red and black striped away shirt of the 80s/90s. Finally, I may be in the minority here, but I'm happy to see the three stars removed from above the badge. |
| News Comment | Umbro Confirmed as New Kit Supplier at 13:04:19
Will be disappointed if it's a black away kit. Had hopes of the red and black stripes returning. Would be nice if we had a third kit again. |
| News Comment | Town Awarded EFL Family Excellence Status at 11:02:15
Well done all involved. I love these schemes and awards. Football should be for the whole family, and it shows ITFC continue to hold these values dearly. |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Four Departures at 23:04:49
Disappointed to see Celina leave. Inconsistent, yes but an extremely talented footballer and can turn things around in an instant. Perhaps a luxury player but at the right price would love to see him return. |
| News Comment | Butcher: This Lot Need Sorting Out Big-Time at 13:35:42
I really don't know what to say. Lowest point in the club's history for me. Next Manager has a b***** hard job on his hands. I'm torn currently between somebody like Pulis, Allardyce to somebody the players would probably be in awe of like Lampard or Terry. Can't see any big name being tempted to come and try and manage this lot. No matter the payday they would receive. |
| News Comment | Ashton: Cobbold Stand Has a Lifespan at 17:21:59
The IPSWICH TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB has to stay. It's like the Spurs' Cockerel and Highbury clock, both at their new stadiums. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-2 AFC Wimbledon - Match Report at 17:09:17
This will hurt more than any so far for PC. I remain 100% behind him. Very frustrating today though that we can't hang on to a lead and get that much needed first win. |
| News Comment | Cheltenham Town 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:43:25
I'm glad I'm not in the trenches with you lot..! No, it's not been a great start to the season by any stretch of the imagination, but get a grip and get behind the team and manager. It's been 3 (league) games. I'll happily eat humble pie if we're not too six at Christmas. Will all those calling for PC's head now, be calling for it if he gets us promoted. Have some patience and faith FFS. |
| News Comment | Downes: Thanks For the Help and the Memories at 09:31:59
Good luck Flynn. If he kicks on and develops into the player he has the potential to be, we could resign him for big bucks when we're in the Premier League in a few seasons :-) |
