We are going to finish 3rd, 24 points ahead of 6th place and promptly lose to them (probably Norwich) in the play-offs, McKenna then gets poached, Davis goes with him and we sink back down into oblivion. |

Apologies if it's been discussed elsewhere but my main concern from yesterday was obviously the first half which, I think many will agree, was the worst under KMc. The second half was improved, not that that was difficult, but why were we so poor to start? The early goals didn't help, but where was the fight which should have been even more evident after last week's result? The players and manager have a lot of credit in the bank so to speak after the amazing last year, but that first half yesterday was simply unacceptable on so many levels. I just can't fathom why. The team looked knackered -are they? Or maybe credit just has to go to Preston, everyone has an off day. I'm waffling now and I'm sure KMc and the team will look at it, but there was a lot of worrying signs in that first half. The fightback of sorts will hopefully spur them on, if we had gone down without a whimper, I'd be more worried. [Post edited 4 Feb 7:31]

Staggering comment from Sky, have they not seen the table? Even my missus who is not a football fan said what on earth is he on about. |

Am I missing something? (Probably) Why does the Lionesses result affect the Olympic football team? England and Scotland are two separate countries, but Team GB involves both nations? Couldn't Scotland let England score ten to ensure Team GB qualified? Like I say, I am probably missing something obvious but it seems weird to me. |

Living oooop North and only having made two visits to PR last year (but a dozen away games) means I'll miss out. It is what it is but is disappointing and I don't think I will renew my membership next year. The price of success eh. Get increasing that capacity ITFC! |

It's wet now! Hopefully just a shower but not great on the roads. |

Yes, true. It's staggering and I don't actually think it's sunk in for me just how good our form has been this calendar year. I guess after years of disappointment it's hard to take in, but to think we are almost half way to the average play-off points total needed at the end of October is unreal. Plenty of breathing space for sure. |

Indeed, far, far too early to be getting carried away. Even with a 9 point gap to third and a game in hand. It's still only October. It's been a brilliant start, far better than any of us dare dream of and we should revel in it, but we will not keep up this pace - every team has a dip. Some tough, tough games to come before the New Year and then the prospect of losing some key players in January to international duty - it can all change very quickly. |
| Forum Reply | Flu vaccine at 10:03 23 Oct 2023
I had the flu vaccine for the first time this year after receiving a diagnosis earlier in the year which means I am now eligible for it. I've been ill since a few days after I've had it, including having covid and then a week with the worst sore throat I can ever remember having. Not sure if there's any link at all, but so far since having my vaccines I've not been well with persistent cold/flu symptoms. |

Neighbouring Derbyshire now declaring a major incident - serious flooding in Chesterfield. "A major incident has been declared in Derbyshire due to the impact of #StormBabet Most roads in Derbyshire are affected by flooding and many are closed. Do not attempt to travel on them! We are calling for people to follow this advice to keep safe: • Do not travel unless essential from now until further information is available later in the weekend. Continue to watch weather and flooding updates. • Look out for vulnerable neighbours, especially if they have care services who may not be able to reach them. • Never drive or walk into floodwater, even if it appears shallow – it could endanger your life." |

Safe travels to all going tonight. I think it's a poor, poor decision for it to go ahead, do not underestimate the chaos in the area due to flooding and the rain continues to pour down. |

I can't see how it can go ahead. Conditions up here (20 mins away) are dreadful, 2 inches of rain since midnight, its relentless. Flooding developing widely too. |
