Then on the Saturday reminding Brighton fans, who had stayed to enjoy the celebrations, they had a train to catch. |

But Starmer keeps telling us that tax levels are going up all the time so it must be true. Personally I think it would be better to increase tax levels while, at the same time, raising tax allowances. The amount that can be earned before tax is paid needs increasing by at least £1,000 and there need to be more tax bands, a gradual increase not the big jump up from standard rate. Bring back the 10% starting rate, and add an interim band between current standard & higher rates. Merge income tax & employee NI and make state pension tax free. |

Privatisation only works if there is competition, two companies serving each line. |

Inability to process applications for asylum within a reasonable timescale is a disgrace. The populist stuff about Rwanda and "illegals" is a sop to stop the Tories leaking more votes. |

Not sure I can see the connection between a tragedy in the channel and pot holes. With regards to the former in addition to the lost lives 47 were rescued. Over 50 others were allowed to continue their journey, presumably escorted until they were in U.K. waters and then brought ashore by Border Force. |

Did you feel the same way 24 years ago ? If so you were wrong then and, if we are promoted. will be wrong again. |
| Forum Reply | Why are Leicester allowed to get away with no points deduction this season at 09:28 23 Apr 2024
Leicester set out to play the system. It was just a year ago they changed their end of financial year from end of May to end of June. They have also taken advantage of the fact that EPL & EFL don’t have any watertight agreement that allows any punishment dished out by one to be applied by the other. Seems almost guaranteed that they will also have significantly overspent for 2023/24. Hopefully in the long run they will find that they are worse off. Points deduction , if promoted, further points deduction when relegated end of next season. Cheats should never be allowed to prosper. |

We are within touching distance. The next three games are no tougher than the three that would follow should we fail. Everything to play for. Will only be disappointed if the season ends with a whimper COYB |
