An interesting approach. Something definitely needs to be done, I wonder which countries will apply to trial it.

One point from six

Leicester fans on the radio seem to think their 7 point gap is unassailable. If Swansea hold them, that's starting to become a serious wobble.
They couldn't could they...?

This is glorious. Hope the Town commercial buyers are working hard on our version.

With interest in the Post Office case so high - here is alleged cronyism of the highest order connected right to the heart of the tories and government.
It surely can't go unnoticed by the masses now.

Empty seats

It was a little frustrating sitting at home watching the game today and seeing what looked like quite a number of empty seats in our section at Stoke.
Were there quite a few no shows?

A point away from home

It's never a bad thing and whilst it wasn't pretty, when has going to Stoke ever been?
We clearly need a replacement for Hirst but all is far from lost. The way some fans are going on you'd think we have a given right to go to what has been one of the hardest Championship grounds to win at and roll them over.

Another point in the bag and work to do on and off the pitch.

for feeling the collar of a few of Wigan and Bolton's scufflers... football violence should be a thing of the past but this can't be proportionate surely?

Apart from the fact this 'serious political party' doesn't seem to (want to) know the different between asylum seekers and illegal immigrants, their grasp of geography is awesome.
If we think Rwanda is expensive...

Pitchside adverts
at 07:46 24 Aug 2023

I may be slow to the party but it was only during the World Cup final on Sunday that I discovered the adverts are shown differently depending on the territory viewing them.

e.g. https://the18.com/soccer-entertainment/virtual-advertising-boards-different-ads-

It's incredible tech which many of you probably already knew about but raised a few questions:
Does the advertising company pay the club/ stadium for the positioning and then split the revenue with the broadcaster or does it work another way?
Can it be regionally segmented in the UK?
Could the boards be turned off or be blank in the ground but used for messaging elsewhere? e.g. using them to broadcast anti-Putin messages to Russian football fans.

Does anyone have any professional insight? The possibilities are incredible - but as with many of these things, also a little scary.
