Totally agree Pegasus. There are rules to protect young players at grassroots levels from playing too much football and to see so many players being crippled with cramp wasn't a good look for me. These are young people still developing physically and should be protected if we want them to develop into elite level adults. |

The govt scheme of paying 80%/£2,500 only applies to employees who are in the PAYE system. I would be surprised if players at professional level are as they can have many other income streams from commercial activities and sponsorship. I may be wrong though, just guessing. |
