As a professional sportsperson, you should be wanting to go as high as you can. Same with being a fan - you want to be in with the elite. It brings opportunity, a chance for fans to see genuine world class players with the dream that our band of merrymen battle against the odds. |

We've been here before last season. This time though, we've had a two week break to get over some illness and niggles in the camp. Players were looking tired, so hopefully a break has refreshed the legs. |

I think you've actually made quite an interesting post here, but you could have perhaps worded the title a little better. VAR can be a good tool, but at present the decisions seem inconsistent or over-analysed. I don't think there's a perfect answer as there will always be subjective decisions in football. But as you say, the money is so large these days that VAR is needed. I think it's good for things like offside, but the process needs streamlined. We shouldn't be waiting two minutes for a decision. |

If Middlesbrough get something against Leeds, we’ve had a pretty good weekend plus Monday without even playing. |

Could be to our advantage. We like an open game. Hoping Burns is fit so we can give Hutch a free role. |

Prem - Arsenal as my Gramps was a fan. I quite like Wolves at the moment too. Lots of exciting players. Champ - Plymouth. Used to go with my cousin when I was younger. L1 - Oxford. Home town. L2 - Just had a quick glance at the table and there's no team I care about. |

- We had a hardcourt area at the school where there were tennis courts in the summer, or out of season we'd play football (or make up games with a football such as wallball or football tennis), skateboards were used a lot on it too. Now it's locked behind gates. - Outdoor swimming pool was just down the road. A season ticket was about £30. The pool was open from Easter until end of August. Now it's open for about a month of the year. - Football pitches are now housing estates or have planning permission to be housing estates. - I was lucky enough to have the school sports hall key as I used to lock up in the evenings as I only lived down the road, so we had free access whenever it was free providing we treated everything with respect (we did). To be fair, where I live now is really community driven with free access to tennis courts, play areas, outside gym and a few other bits. |

I hope he gets back to the player he once was. The Ali of old would probably fit quite well into that attacking midfield role. I wouldn't want to take the risk though. |

Another few million on his price tag. I think that's 17 now for the season which is ridiculous for a left back. |

Leicester have their game in hand against West Brom who are never an easy team to beat. Hull will want playoffs and potentially QPR and Huddersfield will be trying to avoid relegation so will all have to come and play. We generally do better when the game is a bit more open. Southampton vs Leeds could be the game to hold many of the cards. |
| Forum Reply | Think we'll need to win all 3 at 17:49 13 Apr 2024
Hull will need to go for the win which should hopefully open up some space for our players to exploit. QPR and Huddersfield will be needing points too, but perhaps without the added quality of Hull. Leeds have still got Southampton, and the Saints have Leicester to play. It’s all very tight! |

He has balls of steel too. That first save was incredible. Then he goes and does that second one to top it. |
| Forum Reply | Two reasons to remain calm. at 08:34 13 Apr 2024
Borough might be a good team to play. They have to actually try to get something from the game which will mean space to exploit for us. Watford, especially in that second half, were just sitting deep and we sometimes stuggle against that type of setup. |

Broadhead generally doesn’t last the 90. Taylor was looking leggy. Moore wasn’t working so Al-Hamadi comes on. Jackson isn’t cute enough to play against a team who low blocks so was subbed, Edmondson injured. I mean, that all looks fairly logical in the sub choices to me. |
| Forum Reply | A points a point and all that at 21:46 10 Apr 2024
They played for a draw. Three centre backs and two defensive wingbacks who were pretty quick. I think it was more of a running out of ideas than lack of tempo. I think Al-Hamadi should have been on earlier. |
