Never going to be easy to beat a team fighting to keep their Championship status especially away, but when we had the golden opportunity to get 3 great points and when teams above us had lost it would of been great, however a late poor challenge from an inexperienced Niles cost us 3 points, he's a decent player but needs to learn a lot about the game. Bartoz was absolutely outstanding again, pulled some world class games and as i've said before, he's kept us in games across the past month and the beginning of this month, however the defence really needs to tighten up and not give him all the work to do. Massive game against Cardiff on Saturday, believe we can get a result and go on with our season COYB. |

What's depressing is that no-one seems to get behind the team anymore, i can remember a few season gone by when people would get behind the team even though we'd be stuck in a mid-table rut. Now we've actually broke the top 10 places all the optimism seems to off vanished.

A team who will probably finish 1st or 2nd has beaten us and everyone acts like we've just lost against a team who are 24th and haven't won for 5 games. We're still around the playoffs however the likes of Preston are starting to creep around the playoff places. We didn't actually play that badly tonight, obviously not well enough to win the game but still felt we didn't disgrace ourselves. Well it is a bit of a shame that Mick puts these line ups out for cup games, clearly doesn't mind if we win or not would be nice to have a cup run, credit to the nearly 800 fans supporting the team in the cold tonight but i do kind of see why he doesn't risk our first teamers in cup games, trying to focus on promotion more i guess.
My only worry is that we don't even make the play-offs this season and have a complete waste of a season. |
