I've seen this mentioned on a thread recently and thought it might warrant further discussion.
I live up near Manchester, and cannot get to games regularly due to family commitments, cost, travel time or afford a season ticket. However in the past I've managed to make it to a handful of local away games a season.
Now with our upsurge in popularity, it is becoming harder if not impossible to get your hands on away tickets, unless you are a ST holder.
So what are distant fans like me supposed to do?
I get the priority goes to ST and then GC holders as that's what you pay for. But surely there can be a way to allow distant fans access to local away games? Not sure how this would be possible of even if it would be.
It's just a shame that I and others in my situation will likely go a long time before being able to get to a game. Do we just have to wait for promotion and larger away allocations?
For the space enthusiasts, NASA have given the latest update.
- “working better than the most optimistic predictions”; - “aligned as closely as the laws of physics allowed”; - “so far everything we dared" - "optical performance will be able to meet or exceed the science goals the observatory was built to achieve." - “We have the highest resolution infrared images taken from space, ever.”
Am I nieve in thinking this might achieve anything?
Protests are erupting in several Russian cities tonight against Putin's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, along with attempts from police to forcibly suppress them. Here's his hometown of St. Petersburg. I'll be threading videos below as I find them. pic.twitter.com/B5MyG5E4ou
