Great post from karls_dad, sums up the state of things nicely. I've been going on about our club not having electronic advertising boards for what feels like years now. Missed revenue there for sure! It really feels like our club is being run like a mafia laundering front. Just enough investment to keep it operational and in business but no more. |

Meh, not much to comment on at all. Some passing on the deck but no penetration, no urgency after going a goal down and 5 out of 10 performances from mostly everyone. Would rather see Iorfa and Kenlock if we're playing with wing backs because they both have more attacking intent and ability than Spence and Jonas. Midfield needs someone to take charge of the forward movement. Mick was saying yesterday that he hasn't changed his style since coming in, steering us clear of relegation, the play off year etc so can't understand why the fans have changed. Problem is Mick, your team has changed since then, you no longer have a target man up front to supply knock downs/hold it up and allow others to catch up to the play after a long ball forward. You found an answer to it with Garner's ability to win free kicks but without that we can't make the ball stick up front and as soon as we get to the final third we run out of ideas and the ball ends up back at our 'keeper, which I saw happen frequently today. So you may not have changed your ethos but you don't have the players to play it anymore Just do one already! |

I just copy/pasted this from another source. I don't even know what to say about it. Just wow if there's any truth in it 'The Chinese Super League are prepared to pay a top England footballer £800,000 a week, with Tottenham's Dele Alli, 20, and Harry Kane, 23, Ross Barkley, 23, of Everton and Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge, 27, the leading targets.' |

Great blog wkj. The football world has definitely changed a lot and many fans across the country are finding it difficult to stay in touch with the club they fell in love with. Social media is having a huge effect on supporters too. People can voice their opinions from a safe distance but it can have a big influence on others reading it. I don't think it will be ever be the same as it was but that doesn't mean we should stop hoping for the best. If a club can get things right then improvement will come. The current Chinese push for dominance is killing football. Transfer fees are sky-rocketing and it is reminding me of the buy and flip phenomenon that is pushing house prices through the roof here in the US. It almost feels like the amount being spent in the Championship is getting close to what the yearly outlay of the Premier League was just a few years ago. I did read that the Chinese government were planning on enforcing some kind of caps so hopefully things will settle down soon. |

It seems to me that he is trying to say we should pointing the finger at Evans rather than Mick. Two or three times he mentions best players being sold. I reckon those two had a chat after the game and Mick has told him that he's being hamstrung by the owner. Still, not his business though. |

Chambers' lack of attacking prowess wouldn't be so evident if he had a decent winger doing the business in front of him. |

If they were willing to send us Williams as part of the deal then they are obviously open to the idea. Here's hoping something can be done. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Some Clubs Ignoring FFP at 16:59:11
Arniem makes a point that I have thought about too. Clubs could easily ignore FFP and go out and build a strong team, making a transfer embargo pointless. If they are filling the academy with quality players as well then they could be preparing for such a punishment. You only get fined if you get promoted and in the big scheme of things the fine probably won't reflect the financial gain gotten from promotion. As some have said, will the current incarnation of FFP remain or it will it be changed along the way? |

A new manager doesn't HAVE to rip the squad up, just use what he has in a different way. |
| News Comment | McCarthy a Fan of Returning Strike Pair at 16:20:32
As Keane, Clegg and Jordan's dad were making jokes about hiding peoples boots Wickham came over and told Roy that he has made a mistake if he thinks he can get more than a million for Rhodes and that he was the real 20 a season man. |

@PimsNumber1 With FFP and all it brings I think long term contracts at this level will be few and far between for the better paid players. It's just too risky to offer good contracts for four or five years in case something happens to the player or the club. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Solid Team Performance at 18:29:19
Love it Mick. He likes to big his players up and I'm sure that gives them confidence. He's right that if you play nice football and lose it will inevitably cost the manager his job. |
