| News Comment | McKenna: We Were the Better Team By a Considerable Margin at 17:42:05
Don’t get negative comments about our defence - I’d prefer us to play exactly as we are, which does give more pressure on the defence, but what I’ve noticed in 16 of the league games we’ve played so far the opposing teams defence has let in more goals than ours! What I also noticed is that super KMc was laughing at our nearest neighbours cheering a draw at the end - the legend status has gone up another notch. |
| News Comment | Barrow 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:50:50
This club is on it's final breath. As a team we are absolutely appalling, the one or two goodish players we have bring that up to ‘absolutely appalling' otherwise we would be worse. I do not care about any of them, I don't want to see any social media about them. I don't want to hear any talk from them. I hope they all go in January, all of them. The new manager has about 5 games to turn this around or we'll be on his back (and that includes me). In reading this back I realise I need a break from ITFC because they it's all too upsetting. |
| News Comment | Manager Cook Sacked at 19:29:50
Can we now get a previously successful management TEAM, not just the manager! |
| News Comment | Town Reiterate Evans Still Supports Lambert at 21:17:51
And I'm disappointed with the clubs stance. I'm actually disappointed the media hasn't turned up the pressure earlier. We are in free fall and have been for years and the moment the paper puts a toe over the line they feel the need to answer in this way! Next time we lose (Tuesday!) is it because of this article? Is that what the club are saying here? Get a grip ITFC...what do you expect? Watsons article is excellently written and an honest view (obviously too honest for the club) but it could've been much harsher. I imagine PL has thrown his toys out of his cot and forced the club to back him. I'm hating the club at the moment |
| News Comment | Lambert: You Can't Just Play Football With the Ball, You Have to Do the Other Side First at 23:03:10
It's depressing isn't it and what I find incredible is he's surprised we lost! Seriously the stat in the report about only winning a few games against the ‘big' boys (Christ it's division 3!) says much more about our current future than the regular drivel this guy speaks. There are no green shoots at this club, just a slow painful death. Seriously who cares if Evans stays or leaves? The result is going to be the same and he does not give a flying fish. Can you imagine any meeting he's been in and he's said (with a straight face) “but what about the fans...” |
| News Comment | Lambert: The Negativity Attached to the Club is Huge at 23:57:46
Oh good he's our manager....Somebody we can all get behind and go that extra mile with! It seems to me that he's actually trying to build an us against them mentality in the dressing room (against the press) as a last chance saloon - I guess he's got nothing else left |
| News Comment | Ward: Everyone's Disappointed, the Lads Are Hurting in There at 17:14:20
The interesting comment from Ward there was how players from last season said to him, when he arrived, that we struggle against the top teams. This is clearly ingrained in their minds and we are beaten before we step on the pitch and Lambert doesn't seem to have the influence to effect this. |
| News Comment | Lambert: Everybody at the Club is Suffering at 00:48:18
I really felt for McGavin tonight there is no way he should've been out there at the start. To soak up pressure in a must win game you pick your best available experienced 11, if they need subbing after 60 mins or so fair enough but you start with them. This club has spiralled out of control from the top down. Yes we need Evans to underpin the club but it's so fragile we are without footings and it's about to collapse. Lamberts job is now untenable and the faceless owner has not got a clue. What I saw tonight was horrific, all the banners at the ground and bickering on here is of no consequence....we are dead. |
| News Comment | Lambert Left Rueing Failure to Take Chances at 08:28:57
That 28% win ratio is amazing, most of that has been against 3rd tier opposition! Phil, you're a better journalist than me, but surely the only question to PL is “with a 28% win ratio, do you think you and your staff have got the best out of this squad?” Make sure you look him in the eyes when you're asking it, it's good to watch ‘em squirm.... |
| News Comment | Tractor Girls' Cup Fairytale Ends at Manchester City at 18:59:36
Fair enough to dr earman, he's obviously a keyboard warrior who is trying to get a rise, fair enough, everyone needs a hobby.....but blueboy trying to justify your comments is unbelievable- do you really think that? Don't you remember the male version of your beloved team got beat 9-0 when it was professional team v professional team? But they came back stronger a few years later and even Soton got beat 9-1 this season and instead of taking your attitude turned it into a stepping stone to being very positive. You're a very strange man (or boy?) |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 4-1 Burton Albion - Match Report at 17:44:59
I slated them on Tuesday, when I finally broke, but fair play to the team today. Burton aren't a top of the table team but we did what we are capable of against lower teams and scored four and played well. Fingers crossed they prove me wrong for many a game on the run in. |
| News Comment | Lambert: We Targeted Wickham at 23:35:25
Seriously is he taking us for idiots! “We are trying...I wanted to sign Bale but he wanted a million a week and for us to build a pitch and putt round the outside of our training pitch... I had to say no” |
| News Comment | AFC Wimbledon 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:22:16
I think what will sort this little blip out is a dressing room lock in and the boys to have a real heart to heart.....oh hang on we've been doing that since early November and we're still appallingly awful. Absolute bunch of wasters. I always try and stay rational post match, but this lot are the worst team to ever wear the shirts in comparison to what they earn. We have some fair to good individuals but as a team they are terrible, which is obviously their fault but the manager and his staff should be sorting this out and they are incapable...that much is obvious. Incredibly sad day for this club. |
| News Comment | Lambert: No Complaints, We Didn't Do Enough at 23:32:52
Oh dear that's poor, distinct lack of fight from a weak manager who is building a frail team. He is saying sod the 900 travelling fans but I can't work out how to beat any team that has strength and cohesion (I.E. anyone in the top 8!). Wow where is the fight Paul? All I'm seeing is that against anyone half decent, we turn up get paid then feck off again.... |
| News Comment | Rotherham United 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:01:12
What a shower. I hated the MM era and the way we played under him yet that was the worst I've ever seen us play. No leader on the pitch saying this awful hoofball tactic isn't working. No unity in the team and we looked frail. The top 6 know how to play us, if we don't get automatic promotion we ain't winning the play offs! That was weak Lambert, very weak. |
