I don’t know if you guys are interested, but they are currently doing great work in the community, especially with disadvantaged groups. You can see what they are up to on their Facebook page. I myself, have joined the oldies’ walking-football team. It is relatively new, but already has many enthusiastic attendees. What is especially lovely though, is the support from the First Team. We have had four players drop into sessions in the past month. This week, it was Václav and Kayden. They were very unassuming and actually joined in our match… |

I can’t work out if she is mad, plain stupid, or playing a calculated game aimed at cementing her position as the darling of the right. Certainly, after seeing her, Patel, Rees-Mogg and Farage together, leading the new Tories after their election defeat, we will never have to worry about them in power again. Just to confirm this, my wife, who voted Tory once (long before she met me I add), has received a letter from our local MP. It contains thinly-veiled racism and plays into people’s fears, even attacking the Labour council over ‘helping’ immigrants, etc. It is so awful… |

Had a good chat with him last night. Nice guy. Says he’s a lot better after his treatment and “hoping to be back in one and a half to two weeks.” |

Perfect. When we have him out on his ear next year, he can return then to the job he so ‘loved’… |

Exactly this. We know about his dreadful views on immigration, but to link it simultaneously to a (surprisingly for a Tory) attack on the Care Sector, signals a particularly vicious onslaught by the New Conservatives. |

Didn’t think it was possible. But surely this is a new low…

Mask or not… He’s a terrific guy and deserves anything positive that comes his way. I’m also especially happy, as The Reds are my favourite team in Northern Ireland. Wonderful club. |

He is still playing at 72. Well he was when I last saw Laurie Sivell at least. Told me they were in the same walking football team together. |

Another vote for the Vasa Museet mate. It’s the standout. Unlike any other museum you will ever visit. Similarly, much as I love them, the ABBA Museum is a waste of money. Great country. Wonderful people. Have a lovely time. |

Just when you thought VAR couldn’t get any worse. Are the referees allowed to display any common sense? Have they ever played football? |

Was there Wednesday. All good. In fact, we were surprised how quiet it was. |

We scraped in with our drop-off just before they shut at 12.30pm. Even took our dogs in to say hi. The guys there were fabulous. They said they had loaded twenty tons of donated items on a lorry earlier and there was a further forty tons (which we saw) in their storage area. As already said, very humbling and in terrible times it reminds us all of how strong and kind human beings can be. |

Angry, upset and useless. Bang on mate. You have summed up sharply how many of us feel. Even donating doesn’t feel enough, when you see what those incredible people are going through. Want to actually go and do something that will have more of a direct impact, but feel impotent. That said, there are some thoroughly decent human beings on TWTD. |

The man is an arrogant bully. It’s bad enough rendering a fellow human unable to walk properly for the rest of his life, without boasting afterwards that you set out deliberately to harm him. I have also spoken to figures at the club at the time, who have confirmed what we all know, that he is a thoroughly unpleasant character. Compare this with the adoration that Sir Bob received (deservedly) from his staff and players... |

Definitely ...of Britain, as already mentioned. If for no other reason, imagine what would have become of us who are socialists, or of Polish, Traveller, Jewish, etc, descent. Too dreadful to even comprehend. |

Ipswich Sports Club on Henley Road is wonderful. Modern, clean, friendly. Cheaper than David Lloyd. Gym, all the usual, tennis, squash, nice bar and restaurant. Lovely family feel. |
