| News Comment | Venus: We Didn't Have Enough Big Moments at 20:06:24
Absolutely love Mogga and Veno, they were top class for us and a big part of not only getting in the prem, but finishing 5th and giving us two seasons of European football. Thought Birmingham were decent today, really made us work for it and the game could have gone either way second half. I'm sure M&V will have them heading in the right direction if they're given a bit of time. |
| News Comment | Elokobi: A Historic Occasion For Maidstone United at 19:00:56
As much as the result embarrasses us, the silver lining for me is what it means to those Maidstone players and fans. Good for them. Also very impressed with Elokobi, speaks very well and was very humble both before and after the game. |
| News Comment | Schumacher: Red Card a Little Bit Unnecessary at 19:42:07
Saw the replay on TownTV, not only did he make the gesture for yellow card *twice*, the ref then went over and spoke to him and only then booked him again based on his reply. Looked to me like he admitted it to the ref or incriminated himself with his response. Got nothing to complain about other than their own lack of discipline. |
| News Comment | Town Make 10 Changes For Wolves Cup Tie at 19:13:12
Slicker played the last two rounds yet Hladky is in tonight, does this mean Walton is approaching a return? Seems rather curious either way as surely Walton will need a reserve game or two first and we've got 3 more league games coming Saturday Tuesday Saturday... |
| News Comment | McKenna: Camara and Baggott Set For Loans, Pigott in Discussions On Town Future at 17:05:15
Anybody who prefers Camara to Ball, either on strength of their career before they came to us or how they've performed to date in an Ipswich shirt, needs their head testing. Camara pulled out of a 60/40 on halfway at Felixstowe. I'm not convinced he's ever going to come back from his injury. Ball on the other hand oozes class and very rarely makes an error or wastes the ball. He's versatile, proven at this level and is just the kind of player we need in our squad for a long hard season. |
| News Comment | Aluko Signs New One-Year Deal at 17:57:34
Big fan of Aluko, he oozes quality on the ball, if only we had him a bit earlier in his career! |
| News Comment | Morsy Looking Forward to Return at 12:50:12
How lucky are we to have Morsy as our Captain, what a warrior he is, can't be many better than him for looking after the ball in this division. |
| News Comment | Wycombe, Aberdeen and Plymouth Join El Mizouni Chase at 18:38:20
Agree with blues1, Dom Ball is a class act for me and has over 100 championship games under his belt for a reason. Morsy is the only player in our squad who takes better care of the ball, we're going to need them both next season. |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Fleetwood Beamback at 08:11:34
Lord_Mac it's a nice idea, but the club have already said they are up against it to get the pitch ready in time for the new season, as it's a multi million pound renovation I imagine any delay is quite costly. |
| News Comment | Former Blues Boss McCarthy Leaves Blackpool at 14:01:38
I was hoping Mick would keep Blackpool up, just so we could destroy them next season and shove it down his throat. I'm thankful that McCarthy steadied the ship at a time when we were truly awful throughout the club and he did restore a certain amount of pride in my team. However, the idea that we should have been grateful for his ongoing tenure of turgid, agricultural anti-football still irks me to this day. Sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward again and none of us would swap where we are now for struggling in the division above with little hope of progression. I love my club but I'm here to be entertained and to see us with a chance of winning something, not grinding out bore draws with 11 men behind the ball, regardless of division. Mick attempting to poke fun with this "sexy football in league one" comment just shows he will never understand football fans and is just a bitter yesterday's man. |
| News Comment | Barnsley Game Postponed at 22:53:50
ITFCSon - simple solution, international squads have to be announced earlier. Increase the size of the squad if needed, but if they're announced earlier then fans don't end up in a situation like this where a game is called off just 10 days before it's due to be played. |
| News Comment | Barnsley Game Postponed at 19:12:50
While I understand and fully support the club's decision, the system really is broken. What about those fans who have already paid for accomodation and travel? |
| News Comment | Six Players Plus Boss McKenna in Team of the Week at 15:38:47
Nobody had a bad game, but I thought Burgess and Clarke were our two best performers at the back and they were the ones who didn't get in! I do wonder how they come up with these lists, if it's data driven or someone just plucks a few names... |
