Twenty Years Ago Today, Reuser's Dramatic Debut
at 14:27:17

My favourite Town player, just loved the footballing arrogance of the guy, popping up with important goals and some belters for the TV cameras. Clearly loved himself a bit too much but at the time he was our Ronaldo, so it didn't matter. Those Were The Days.

Tractorboy1985 quick to judge and label others, zero insight as usual. Nobody has been more critical of Alan Judge this season than the player himself.

Five Point Protest Aims to Focus Frustrations
at 14:33:36

That statement reads very well an I applaud the approach, which is the correct one. It's not about this manager, or about screaming "more money", it's about wanting the club to be run in a competent manner and the owner being accountable for the utter failure that his stewardship of the club has been to date.

Evans - appoint someone competent and with experience of running a football club to lead us, or sell up and move on. Enough is enough.

Lambert: Marcus Will Do What He Wants to Do, I Don’t Sit and Worry
at 13:32:52

A few facts:-

We are 17th in the form table over the last 6 games.

We are 18th in the form table over the last 24 games. We've amassed just 4 points more than Bolton over that period, and they didn't have a squad at the start of the season. Unbelievable.

As posted on the forum the other day by Doctor_Earman, first League 1 seasons after their most recent relegation from the Championship:-

Sheffield Wednesday - 15th
Leicester - 1st
Forest - 7th
Leeds - 5th (with 15-point deduction, lost in play-offs)
Southampton - 7th (with 10-point deduction)
Wolves - 1st
Sheffield United - 3rd (Lost in play-offs)
Sunderland - 5th (Lost in play-offs)

So based on our current position, only Sheffield Weds did worse, who were a club in total disarray and in the middle of a takeover. Leeds and Southampton out-performed us with large points deductions.

Lambert can blub about his lack of budget (which is a laughable argument considering it is one of the biggest in the division) and abuse from the stands (again, rubbish, nobody is abusing anybody personally just expressing discontent at the state of us) but the reality is he is failing ITFC. Spectacularly so. And the only person to blame is him.

Lambert out.

Lambert: I Understand Why Fans Hold Warky in the Highest Regard

You know it's the beginning of the end for an Ipswich manager when the news comments on TWTD turn almost universally toxic on the most innocuous of stories.

The TWTD League Calculator 2019/20

Based on current form, I've got us to finish on 65 points, which would put us anywhere between 8th and 12th in previous seasons. You usually need low 70s to make the play-offs, so unless our form improves considerably, it doesn't look good.

Lambert: Whoever You Are You've Got to Earn the Right
at 14:59:40

ArnieM I fear you give Evans to much credit, let's not forget he's been so shrewd here that he flushed something approaching £100m down the toilet in the hands of Keane and Jewell. He has repeatedly let player contracts run down, failed to sell assets at their peak and either let them go cheaply far too soon or for peanuts far too late. He has largely been hands-off, installed ill equipped figureheads and mouthpieces to run the club, while giving far too much power to managers who have run this club into the dirt. I hesitate to trust him with anything anymore.

Lambert: Whoever You Are You've Got to Earn the Right

Suffolkboy you are like the violinist playing on while the titanic sinks. They are perfectly reasonable questions and Lambert's attempts to fight off justified criticism with overly aggressive responses show him up for what he is - a manager who has lost his way and is out of his depth.

But yeah, he played for Borussia Dortmund, so that's ok then. Five more years of this ineptitude? No thanks.

Lambert: Whoever You Are You've Got to Earn the Right

Also, he keeps banging on about having to earn the right, like that's some kind of defence? You're not earning it Paul! Nowhere near! It doesn't matter what we're called, what the badge looks like or what we've done in the past, right now we are nowhere near good enough to get out of this division and the buck stop s with you. Rather than going off on one at journalists asking perfectly legitimate questions maybe you should instead acknowledge that we've been absolutely shocking of late and your own performance simply hasn't been good enough.

So after years of the wage bill being justification for us being unable to compete in the championship, now it's not fair justification for us expecting to be a top side in league one? Ridiculous aggressive response from Lambert, take a bit of bloody responsibility man!

Lambert Still Targeting Top Two
at 12:51:28

It's one thing to say it Paul, but on current showing the players don't believe in it and you seem incapable of delivering it. The wheels have come off twice now this season and we look as mentally fragile as any Ipswich team I've seen. What happened to all the boasting about having overcome the relegation hangover and entertaining the fantasy that we might go unbeaten this season?

Lambert: Skuse Contract Talks With Owner Evans Ongoing
at 12:34:57

Little bit surprised if we're considering giving him a new deal, don't get me wrong I think Skuse has been terrific for us, but he can't have that many games left in him? Unless he's willing to take a hefty drop in wages for a one year deal, I suspect he'd be better off looking elsewhere?
