Town Announce Season Ticket Refund Options
at 14:26:47

Unless I'm missing something, nowhere does it tell me how much my "refund" is worth. While I accept this is a huge logistical undertaking for the club, I'd be better placed to make an informed choice if I knew how much money we're talking about. I think they may get more people opting for a refund due to not knowing what the figures are. If it's a relatively small amount then I'd speculate people are more likely to opt for a voucher or tickets.

I also agree that spreading the refund over such a long period of time is taking the mick and I doubt it would stand up if challenged.

Town Issue Update
at 13:13:18

nineteenseventyeight I'm sure one of the options will be a refund for the games missed, no doubt they are working on attractive alternative options which keep hold of the revenue but give you an alternative "product", hence the delay getting sorted while there is only a skeleton crew at the club due to covid.

Lambert: We've Paid the Price for a Bad Couple of Months
at 21:13:00

I understand what Jimmy Walker has posted there, but wasn't it this season where they owed it to the fans to have a good season? At some point the stupid platitudes need to stop and the self-belief and will to win needs to appear. Stop piling on the expectation and start building a team which can get us out of this cesspit of a division.

Dozzell Slams Racist Tweets
at 18:53:37

My problem is ignorant people posting racially devisive twaddle that is completely ignorant of the issue. If the EDL and the BNP were saying the same stuff as me, I'd be very interested. Or concerned I should say, as I'm not a fascist. Are you?

I'm trying to help you understand the issue here, as I feel this is very important and clearly you don't grasp the message. Leave you alone? You're choosing to read and reply, I'm not forcing you to engage with me. If you can't handle criticism of what you post, I'd suggest the internet is not for you my friend.

Which again is completely tone deaf. Black Lives Matter is a statement on inequality, not all people are being murdered in broad daylight by the people supposed to keep them safe. Black Lives Matter isn't saying black lives matter more than other lives, it's saying black lives are valued less by society than other lives. Why you would want to detract from that message is beyond me.

ITFCsince73 do you realise you're parroting devisive and ignorant rubbish plastered all over social media by the EDL and BBP designed to stir up racial tensions? That Lee Rigbys family have specifically asked people not to do in his name? Not a great look and pretty tone deaf given the story above.

EFL Statement Rules Out Extended Play-Offs
at 09:54:39

You lot really do love to bicker.

For the first time in my ITFC-supporting life, I'd welcome the return of one of our former managers, somebody who understands our club, has Ipswich in their veins and will stand up to Evans for the sake of our future. I'd like to think Magilton or Burley would surely be able to get the ball on the floor and have us playing with a little passion. Dyer as number 2.

Out-of-Contract Players to Learn Whether Club is Taking Up Options
at 09:11:57

We need to be mindful of the fact that other clubs financially weaker than town will be forced to release players. Could be a good opportunity for us to make some changes and I would hesitate before throwing more money at Edwards and Keane, who for all their ability, haven't consistently done the business for us.

Unlikely League One Play-Off Extension Proposed
at 09:06:44

This is going to end up with that berk MacAnthony throwing his toys out of the pram and taking legal action, just you wait. You can't please everyone and what should be top of the agenda is making sure every club is left in the best position to still be in business. Not squabbling over who finishes in the playoffs.

My Best Town XI: Jim Magilton
at 21:04:05

Magic, not sure we'll have another of his calibre in my lifetime unfortunately. That *straight* ball over the top he could play, with backspin, perfectly weighted to put a striker in behind... unreal. Other playmakers can play that pass 100 times without getting it right. Magilton made it look effortless.

EFL Statement Following League One and Two Meetings
at 20:44:53

I really don't see how the season can be finished, even if you play the remaining games the integrity of the competition is already compromised considering form, fitness of players, which clubs are still to face easier/harder fixtures etc. Peterborough were bleeting about who had faced Bolton at their weakest earlier in the season, does anyone believe they'll ever shut up unless the season ends in them being promoted?

Some clubs are going to be hard done by whatever happens. Just take it on the chin, finish the season now and move on to making plans for next season.

Evans Writes to Fans as 2020/21 Season Tickets Go on Sale to Existing Holders

I'm sure some "supporters" will pick this apart and complain, but I'll be auto renewing. People are dying in their thousands and this really makes you reassess what's important in life. I love going to football and this won't change, whatever next season looks like.

Follow the Town, up or down.

Five Point Protest Aims to Focus Frustrations
at 14:33:36

That statement reads very well an I applaud the approach, which is the correct one. It's not about this manager, or about screaming "more money", it's about wanting the club to be run in a competent manner and the owner being accountable for the utter failure that his stewardship of the club has been to date.

Evans - appoint someone competent and with experience of running a football club to lead us, or sell up and move on. Enough is enough.

Lambert: Marcus Will Do What He Wants to Do, I Don’t Sit and Worry
at 13:32:52

A few facts:-

We are 17th in the form table over the last 6 games.

We are 18th in the form table over the last 24 games. We've amassed just 4 points more than Bolton over that period, and they didn't have a squad at the start of the season. Unbelievable.

As posted on the forum the other day by Doctor_Earman, first League 1 seasons after their most recent relegation from the Championship:-

Sheffield Wednesday - 15th
Leicester - 1st
Forest - 7th
Leeds - 5th (with 15-point deduction, lost in play-offs)
Southampton - 7th (with 10-point deduction)
Wolves - 1st
Sheffield United - 3rd (Lost in play-offs)
Sunderland - 5th (Lost in play-offs)

So based on our current position, only Sheffield Weds did worse, who were a club in total disarray and in the middle of a takeover. Leeds and Southampton out-performed us with large points deductions.

Lambert can blub about his lack of budget (which is a laughable argument considering it is one of the biggest in the division) and abuse from the stands (again, rubbish, nobody is abusing anybody personally just expressing discontent at the state of us) but the reality is he is failing ITFC. Spectacularly so. And the only person to blame is him.

Lambert out.
