I'm of the opinion that the form table over the last 6 games is consistently the most reliable predictor of what is to come.
What concerns me right now is our worst period of results this season came when we had a little cluster of tougher fixtures at the same time as illness in the camp... |

If we do end up 3rd, god I hope we get Norwich in the playoffs. We would destroy them. It's not going to happen though, as Leeds are going to win the league and we'll be 2nd. |

Have we ever had someone chip one down the middle? Always seems to me that one's put down the middle have a very high success rate and it's much easier to get right than sticking one firmly inside the post. |

Respectfully disagree, comes on late in games as a bit of a water carrier to shift the ball around but I don't see what he brings to the side and often has an error in him, particularly that blind ball around the corner which he likes to play and loses us possession every time. I think he covers a lot of positions and roles as a squad player so I can understand his utility, I just have very little faith in him on the ball or off it, he's cost us too many times for me. |

Blue tinted specs in terms of not seeing the penalty. The highlights package on sky/YouTube makes it a bit easier to see as the framerate is much better than the twitter clip in this thread. Stroud is 10 feet away looking right at it, as I said Rotherham player gets just infront of Jackson as they come together, Jackson goes to play the ball and kicks the player. Is it a bit soft, yes. Is he happy to go down and does so a bit easily, yes. But he gets kicked in the box getting across Jackson who makes a challenge for the ball and does not get it. |

Rotherham player gets just ahead of Jackson, Jackson goes to side foot the ball and kicks his ankle, Rotherham player makes contact with the ball as he goes down.
It's on the soft side, but it's a penalty. The fact that Stroud is odious little pillock, desperate to be the centre of attention who would have gleefully given any contentious decision he could against us late in the game and went on to play an extra 2 minutes on top of the 8 already given, does not change that fact for me.
Lots of people with blue tinted specs on, we were utterly crap for about an hour and barely contested the 2nd ball in that time. If we play like that on Saturday we will get spanked. |

Penalty for me. Bit of a coming together but Jackson catches his ankle while trying to play the ball. Stroud is a d!ck but if that was at the other end I'd be screaming for it. |

They had two fierce shots from outside the box early in the game, both low and hard coming through players that gave Hladky quite a bit of bother. Another night one of those takes a deflection or finds the bottom corner and it's a totally different game.
Hopefully the result gives us a bit of confidence now and we stop looking fragile early in games. |

This classic bit of Italian opera made perfect sense as a song for Italian international Paolo Di Canio in 1999.
Highly questionable as tune for Icelandic international Hermann Hreidarsson in 2001, but he had just scored against West Ham to level the match after Di Canio got the opener, so I let that one go.
As a tune for Iraqi international Ali Al-Hamadi in 2024 it is utterly absurd. Surely we can do better? |

I thought the same thing, yes he bagged two scuffers but he'll have played much better than that before without scoring.
Team of the week is largely meaningless isn't it. I highly doubt there is an informed decision making process as to who gets included. |

Bournemouth haven't announced Unal yet, we don't get the green light on Moore until they do and Phil isn't going to announce it's done until the club do. |
