Happy Tomas Priskin Day everyone (n/t)
at 11:18 12 Jan 2022

To be fair as has been said he showed a lot of potential when he first joined and did some good work, it was more 10 games in or so where he started to become excessively lazy and disillusioned. The constant offsides particularly grated.

Maybe a bit but I think it was more to do with him being stroppy, lazy, caught offside every 5 minutes and not able to put the ball in the net.

Tomas Priskin (half Tommy Miller, half Tamas Priskin) might actually have made a good player. I'd have Millers upper body (for nous and timing those late runs) and Priskins skillful legs.

Skip Bravo Two Zero (which is at least 50% bullsh!t that he made up) and read The One That Got Away by Chris Ryan instead.

what did happen with norwood?
at 09:49 10 Jan 2022

I reckon it was Cook's decision to bin Nors to the U23s, he just lied to Nors and told him his hands were tied.

I have no evidence for this of course, just my pet theory.

What exactly were you hoping the crowd would do to celebrate the guy who isn't in post yet, we know very little about and wasn't even introduced on the pitch?

Interesting point about Norwood and the way we play.
at 15:58 9 Dec 2021

It's an obvious play for McGreal to stick Nors in and he should do it, if Ashton isn't sh!tting us and he truely is available for selection and it's purely up to the manager.

Norwood is a pain in the @rse, he has everything to prove and nothing to lose. Bonne looks so isolated at the moment, we need to do something different and the "emperor of sh1thousery" giving defenders a hard time certainly wouldn't make us any worse.

I think the bloke is a twit and I don't like much of his antics off the pitch, but if he gives us an edge then I'll happily turn a blind eye.

Respectfully disagree.

Yes the fans would "back" him, be positive in seeing a popular ex-player come in, talk nonsense about The Ipswich Way etc. But there would be quite a bit of concern about us appointing a manager whose only previous experience is 4 years at Colchester, where he delivered a 38% win rate.

He's on the train to Charlton with me, I took him up on his kind offer. We're 20 minutes in and he's on his 3rd brew.

It's counter-intuitive, but in my experience a surprising number of people within the medical profession hold questionable views on vaccination.

I think his interview is massively indicative of where we're at. Stating the obvious, but if all was well, he wouldn't be making those comments. He's right of course, but whether or not it's a good idea to come out and say it is another matter.

They way I look at it, Cook has started the war for our support. We're not where we want to be, so he needs time to try and improve us. In order to do that, he needs to get the hardcore support behind him and drown out his detractors. It's divisive of course, but the war is coming whether he wants it or not, so better to fire the first salvo.

December is huge. If we pick up enough points to climb the table, he'll buy himself the time he wants from the fans. If we don't, he's quickly going to lose the war.

Instead of debating Lambert v Cook for a second...
at 12:16 3 Dec 2021

It pains me to say it, but Rotherham are everything we aren't. Highly organised, resilient, confident and relentless. Given our footballing ability, if we had just a little bit of what they've got, we'd easily be a top 6 side. And if we had a lot of it, we'd be well on our way to being able to hold our own in the division above.

Can Cook deliver it? Unfortunately I have my doubts.
