Southampton midfielder 'wound up' after being booed at Ipswich
at 17:23 5 Apr 2024

No issue with any of this. A few little boo's that maybe throw him off his game a little? Then the fans that booed have done the right thing.

Would rather that than give him a cheer/applause that puts him on a high and then he has a blinder

Decent player and would take him back as potential Morsy replacement when the time is right and if he wanted another crack at PR.

No ill feeling, and if the boo's had an effect, if even 1%, then GOOD

Would like to see Leif given the pens. All-round set piece specialist

Omari vs Gio

For me the correct answer to best loan ever is Magilton. What he went on to achieve during and post loan as a player was great and then of course went on to manage

Reuser a close second.

Honorable mentions to Tom Lawrence, Gio, DJ Campbell, Fraser and to some extent Daryl Murphy also

The return of Guthrum's Estimated Final Table
at 11:55 20 Feb 2024

Would be crazy for 4 teams to get 90+ and 2 of them over 100, but can see it happening.

Has there ever been a year when a team getting 90+ in the championship has not been promoted? I have gone back as far as 2005 and cannot see it

TEAM TONIGHT
at 08:50 14 Feb 2024

Hladky
Clarke, Fridge, Burgess, Davis
Morsy, Travis
Burns, Chaplin, Broadhead
Moore

Subs - Walton, Wolf, Humphries, Lluongo, Hutch, Harness, Sarmiento, Al Hamidi, Jackson

This is how I think we will line up. Some caveats:
I am not saying Wolf and Lluongo should be or are being dropped. This is just about rotation and Burge needs to come back in sooner rather than later.
Tempted to say Hutch gets a start, but I just think away from home KMcK will stick with the same front 4 from the off.

Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari!

He is still up there with the best on the grid! Regardless of the car.

I was aiming more at his experience and what he can bring to the team in knowledge and strategy, not just driving ability.

Yes, he will be 40 by the time this comes round. Agree its likely his last chance and has nothing to lose.

I can't see any other driver other than Lando if Merc want a statement replacement. Will come at a significant cost, but probably worth it. They could possibly look at Piastri.

Agreed! Ferrari have been a bit of a mess for a number of years now. Maybe this is just what they needed.

Moore set to stay at Bournemouth
at 13:12 25 Jan 2024

Sunderland now heavily linked with Moore.

Think it would be a real shame if he comes to the championship but not to us. He really suits our style, we are in a better league position and hopefully some part of him thinks he has unfinished business here!

Really hope FFP doesn’t scupper us on this one

There are a few more names out there I would expect, but from these 3 I would say Gallagher on a permanent and Moore on a loan would be perfect. KJ then still has value as a utility option and Freddie can move on the pastures new.

Will always love Freddie for last year and Cardiff this season, but I think it is clear to see that his time here may be up.

LOWER NORTH - WTF are you doing?! Seriously
at 09:34 14 Jan 2024

I think you’ve missed my point. My comment about the away fans wasn’t about banter. It’s about distance between them and our noisy sections not being able to bounce off each other which automatically creates a better atmosphere. I used to be SAR upper before moving to lower north as I couldn’t stand songs being aimed at us not making noise and there was no reaction. A few people tried but that was it.

I miss the years when the whole stadium would join in

at 20:25 13 Jan 2024

While I agree with your main point that the atmosphere was not great today, why is this all aimed towards lower north??

The whole stadium was quiet today. Fully appreciate what BA do in section A, but the noise doesn’t travel well to section 4 (where I am). By the time a song gets to us it’s stopped. There’s a few lads in my section that get things going but this again I am assuming doesn’t travel well to the other side and section A.

The fundamental issue I think is that most of the stadium doesn’t bother getting involved which makes the general atmosphere quite poor. Having the away fans so far away doesn’t help.

That’s my 2 pence worth anyway

The whole stadium needs to get behind the team. Not just a few sections

Pretty confident he will go to Leeds. The numbers mentioned are £3-4m. Pretty sure we will be spending cash in other areas rather than at CB

Best bit of last night?
at 08:47 13 Dec 2023

For me, the best thing from our team last night was the whole defence and Morsy going straight to Hladky after the Watford goal to pick him up and get his head up. We know how we play and things like that will happen. The team spirit is class and there for everyone to see.

The response was spectacular. Thought Watford were really good last night. They try to play, press high and have 2 really good players in Asprilla and Sema. We kept them to a few half chances, and created the better opportunities. So the right result

Last night and Boro are the sort of games that will get us promoted. I will be the first to admit I predicted defeat at Boro and a draw last night before the 2 games. I am not off to eat my hat!

Things that annoy you more than they should..
at 17:03 16 Nov 2023

The person in the row behind me at PR:

Has an opinion about everything, and keeps talking until someone agrees
Commentates on most aspects of the game
Says at least 3 times, how is that offside? When we are in SBR and there is no way we can actually tell
Other constant favourites of 'how much are they paying you ref' or 'are you blind ref' or 'put their shirt on ref' - most games

The above annoys me more than it should, but I think adding in that said person is also a little but of a talking spitter, can make for some rather unpleasant moments...
