West Bromwich Albion 1-0 Ipswich Town - Half-Time
at 19:43:42

That performance was absolutely shocking and one of the worst we have had for a long time. I can't recall their keeper having to make a serious save. There was no passion no fight and we never really looked like scoring. Our build up play is so predictable passing sideways and backwards. So sorry for the fans that made the trip to watch that performance.
In January we badly need a prolific goal getter but that is not easy. I can't remember being so disappointed after watching that match tonight. Millwall is a must win next week so hope we see 100% effort and have a shot on target which we never saw tonight.
Can't remember a display like tonight for a long time so hope its a one off. Sorry for pessimism but ITFC means so much to me.

Ipswich Town 0-1 Lincoln City - Match Report
at 19:59:55

A very poor performance against a team who obviously did their homework on us. Too much of slow passing build ups from the back going sideways and backwards.
Burns looks to have lost his mo jo and my goodness we badly need a striker who can put the ball into the net. What we have up top at the moment will not get us promoted. Just hope this a blip today but much for Mr McKenna to dwell on. We got lucky at Morecambe and were beaten by a better organised team today which is worrying.

Good luck John - 2 wins and the job could be yours with Kieran as assistant. Would rather have one of our own than some of the names being banded around.

Ipswich Town 0-2 Rotherham United - Match Report
at 23:20:12

Everything looked so rosy at the start of the season but its now back to normal for our beloved Club. After tonights' dreadful performance, the players and more notably Cook should be ashamed as his tactics are not working. Rotherham were hungry and we could not match them. Our one up front striker is not working and we never looked close to scoring. Alarm bells must be ringing for the owners as the wheels are coming off dramatically and Cooks' tenancy must soon be on the line if we do not achieve results over the next few games. The feel good factor has disappeared and I really worry about our current position (a) do we change the Manager and (b) if so who do we get to replace him.

Ipswich Town 0-3 Millwall - Match Report
at 18:17:48

A very disappointing performance today and not many positives to take from it. Bart may as well have stayed at home as we lacked any kind of threat up top. This performance was way below the Palace display and it is worrying that we do not look like creating chances let alone score. Yes you have to have service and this was also in short supply. Can't argue with the effort of the lads but right now on this display we have much to work on.

Referee Drysdale Issues Apology

This referee should get at least a 3 match ban and a heavy fine. I somehow think he may
get one or a two match ban and a warning. Bloke should be ashamed of himself.

Harrop Handed Full Debut as Blues Host Northampton

At home to a team at the foot of the table and we go with one up front. Its clear and obvious that one up top is not the answer so just praying the lads in midfield can support the lone striker and the wide men. Please end this nightmare story of Ipswich Town F.C.

Peterborough United 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 23:23:50

Being a dedicated and devoted Town fan for more years than I care to mention this is the lowest ebb that my beloved Club has reached. Yes we have an owner who has ploughed in millions but sadly has no idea of how to run a football Club. His knowledge of football is clearly very low and some of his managerial appointments have been truly awful. Hurst and Lambert being the pick of the worst brigade. I beg you now Mr. Evans please relieve Mr Lambert of his duties before we plummet further down the league ladder. There are candidates out there to replace him not least Dyer and Butcher who would give the Club the identity it deserves. Paul Cook is still out there and could do a job for us. Lambert has torn apart our support with his ridiculous after match interviews and opinions and tonight just emphasises his respect of us supporters when he can't even be bothered to face the press. For the sake of all the die hard fans of this wonderful Club please Mr Evans make yourself popular and get rid of the most incompetent Ipswich Town manager we have ever had.

Matheson: I Got a Call at Half-Four
at 17:18:44

I was at the Rochdale away match last season and this boy ran the game and was a real pain in the backside as he ran the game for long periods. Looked a very versatile player as well so could use him in midfield as well as full back if necessary. Welcome Luke look forward to seeing you in the blue of Ipswich.

My goodness me - how far we have fallen. The line up should have been more than good enough to beat a bunch of kids. Really worried about my beloved Club and the direction we are going in. Saturday was impressive so just hope that was a marker rather than last nights showing. I know fans knock this competition but is the only chance we have of a day out at Wembley which I am sure we would all love. Just hope we can overturn Gillingham and Crawley but won't hold my breath.

Lambert: We Have to Learn From Last Season
at 13:37:02

The first priority for the coming season is to sign a centre back to replace the hapless Chambers. How many goals did he cost us last season - too many. I have been a Chambers fan and he is a great Club man but in football there should be no sentiment and we need a no nonsense stopper next to Woolfie. Others need to step up to the plate notably Nolan who works hard with little at the end of it. I think Norwood and Jackson will work but they need a supply line and not just hoofball. We could also do with another striker but that may be asking too much. Agree with others the downfall last season started with rotation in the extreme. A few changes yes but Lambert made too many thus destroying the momentum. Top six is our first aim but I believe this will be a big challenge - here is hoping..

Marcus on the Spot in Moscow
at 20:48:21

Went to most of the European away days and the trip to Moscow was the best of them all. Not just for the football but for the sightseeing in Moscow. I remember getting off the bus at the stadium and being greeted by soldiers with guns which was a little scary. Yes it was eerie inside the vast stadium as most of the crowd were soldiers in uniform. I remember when sightseeing if you crossed the road when you shouldn't you were pulled to one side. Marvellous memories that can't be taken away from us. Sadly we are a million miles away from those kind of trips.

Earl: There Are a Lot of Points Left to Play For
at 19:07:56

The reason for our decline lays almost entirely at the feet of the Manager with his stupid rotation policy and inadequacies on the tactical front. He continually picks a team with no playmaker hence numerous sideways and back passing hence forwards get little or no service. I have not always been a Dozzell fan but surely he is better than that lot who turned up in midfield yesterday . Judge was a lost sole yesterday which is not surprising when he is stuck out wide. For a man who has managed huge Clubs as only he keeps telling us, his team selections and tactical changes have been nothing short of woeful.
I am not an Evans outer but heavens above giving Lambert a 5 year deal is absurd in the extreme. Can you imagine over 4 more years of this dross on the pitch and patronising remarks to us supporters. Unless something changes soon our beloved Club will be stuck in the lower leagues for years to come. Sorry to be so negative but apart from my family Ipswich Town F.C. is my life and at the moment in that regard life is terrible, and cannot see it getting better under the current regime.

Lambert: Were There Some Harsh Words There? Yes, But Not Over the Top
at 21:23:56

The biggest mistake Lambert has made is this stupid rotation of players. I said it at the outset and have been proved right. Team selection is vital and Lamberts selections are baffling. Judge is a very decent player but he is not a winger and should be in the hole behind the strikers. The midfield selections need at least one player who can pass a ball yet Lambert persists in the work horses i.e. Nolan (who has been poor of late) Skuse and Downes. Dozzell never gets a run in the team the one player possibly with Huws who can pass a ball but they never play regularly enough to cement their place and improve their football. It is no wonder that Norwood and Jackson get frustrated as no one feeds them with decent passes. After the stinker Norris had against Gillingham why did he retain his place as Holy should be number one and stay there until he loses form. The back four are also a concern apart from Woolfie who has been outstanding and there is no doubting we have greatly missed Vincent-Young. Lambert has much to ponder on but do I trust him to get things right - I'm not sure.

Lambert: First Challenge Set Tone of the Game
at 13:11:44

Selection policy has done us I'm afraid but Lambert continues to be as stubborn as our last Manager. Yesterday we did not have one creative player in midfield - OK Dozzell may not be the best but he has a pass in him. We have work horses but that alone is not enough. I am sick of the Lambert spin now and if we don't turn this around soon he should walk but there is little chance of that. Boxing day game is massive now - lose that and the alarm bells will ring even louder.

Ipswich Town 1-2 Coventry City - Match Report
at 22:23:15

If you are not careful Mr Lambert your honeymoon period will soon be over as your rotation system has failed miserably. You are slowly but surely destroying all the good work you have done with this stupid number of changes for each game we play. Just play your strongest team every match and if injuries ensue then change it. Similarly if poor form persists with any individual then change it but this constant 7/8/9 changes is not paying dividends. You have turned the Club around Mr. Lambert but if you are not careful you will lose the fans support. Saturday is crucial now - lose and I will be seriously worried.

Ipswich Town 0-0 Wycombe Wanderers - Match Report
at 23:23:15

Very average performance from Town tonight and Wycombe Wanderers got what they came for but should have got 3 points with the penalty. Words fail me with the performance of the Referee who was the worst of the worst we have had this season. Our disallowed goal had been given and the lino was going back to the halfway line for the restart. The referee bowed to pressure from the Wycombe players and ultimately the lino went in Wycombes favour - unbelievable. Fantastic penalty save from Holy gained us the point but I still maintain Lamberts rotation of players is backfiring as Chambo (who was poor tonight) has subtly indicated. We had not one creative player in midfield tonight which was crying out for Dozzell. I have not been too impressed with him this season but he has a pass in him to open up defences and we had none of that. Can't fault the effort of the players but effort alone will not get us promoted. Much to be done in the transfer window in January if we are to achieve our aim.

Town Draw Peterborough in Leasing.com Trophy
at 19:18:54

I despair because we did not play a strong enough team to beat Lincoln and have an unnecessary replay. I despair because we put a weak side out at Colchester and lose to our nearest rivals in a cup competition when there was no need as the first team had a 10 day break before Blackpool. I despair because Lambert has left too many senior players out when he could have used a sprinkling of them in both games. I love my Club and hate to see us lose when and whoever we play.

Town Draw Peterborough in Leasing.com Trophy
at 17:39:17

The last 8 days of Lamberts decisions have annoyed me intensely and if we lose against Lincoln with a weakened team and then Blackpool with players ring rusty from no involvement for 2 weeks the fans will really question Lamberts management or rather mismanagement. If he plays the same players at Peterborough in the EFL trophy as he did at Colchester we will probably lose that as well. I despair !!!!
