| News Comment | Bristol Rovers 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:07:49
On the basis of recent performances this result sadly, was entirely predictable. At this rate we will be lucky to make the playoffs and if we did, I certainly wouldn't put a penny on us to win. |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Need to Take the Positives at 20:06:55
By all means take the positives from any game but for goodness sake PLEASE address the negatives!!!! Week in, week out we are conceding goals carelessly. If that is not sorted out, we will not get promoted. Simple. |
| News Comment | Humphreys: It's Only the Beginning at 09:07:22
Again, loyalty to be applauded! Interesting when compared to Simpson, especially when you consider who Humphreys has attracted attention from!! All the best to him for the future, looking forward to seeing him in a first team shirt 👠|
| News Comment | Brighton Activate Loan Recall But Walton Still at Town at 15:47:50
Sadly, one of the risks of getting loan players in, especially in a situation like this that we would have been aware of before we got him in. Great goalkeeper but fear we may lose him and you can't blame Brighton for wanting to realise a fee for him when, at the end of the season, they would get nothing!! |
| News Comment | Town Confirm McKenna Appointment at 21:51:06
Did not see that one as I am sure most didn't. It has the potential to go either way but wish both all the best and have fingers crossed that it is now very much a case of onwards and upwards!! |
| News Comment | Barrow 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:27:25
If I was on the new manager short list, I would pull my application immediately!!!! Whoever takes the job has more than the metaphorical mountain to climb with this lot…. |
| News Comment | Barrow 2-0 Ipswich Town - Half-Time at 20:43:48
Terry BUTCHER: “Unacceptable “ First goals for the mighty Barrow away from the penalty spot in 6 weeks. On that performance, we don't need a new manager, we need a magician and even they would struggle!!!!! |
| News Comment | Brighton Could Recall Walton at 10:49:50
Sadly the downside of loan agreements. With the goalkeeper's position such a vital one, perhaps in hindsight, we should have made a permanent signing in the first place?!?! |
| News Comment | Ashton: This is Such an Important Appointment For This Football Club at 19:54:41
It does bemuse me that some are so adamant that they would not accept FARKE should he be considered for the role? He managed to get the Canaries promoted twice to the Premiership. If he came to Portman Road and repeated the feat would that be so bad?!?! He might even relish the thought!! |
| News Comment | Manager Cook Sacked at 06:35:40
Cornwellblue, with regards to “facts” I and I'm sure many others anticipated the full COOK “success package” namely him and his assistant, Liam RICHARDSON when his appointment was announced. Meanwhile, COOK has had far greater scope than any recent manager and ruthlessly dispatched many of the old team and brought in all players of his own choice. However, clearly, the absence of RICHARDSON has been a major determining factor , whilst COOK has produced mediocre results RICHARDSON so far, has otherwise excelled which suggests to me that he was a huge part of the previous achievements and sadly, COOK on his own, is not the man to lead us to anywhere near where we want to be. The other simple reality is that we now have owners who are prepared to invest but clearly, expect a return on the money that they are putting in. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-0 Barrow - Match Report at 17:46:23
Surely we are now at a crossroads - COOK has had ample time to get the squad together that HE wanted at the expense of the former one and for it to gel. Frankly, it appears to be going backwards. The dilemma now is if COOK remains in charge for the January transfer window, do we end up with more of the same and even more money spent? Whilst the American owners I'm sure are patient, nevertheless, this is an investment for the public safety pension funds across the pond and ultimately, they will want to see a return on their investment and currently, I really cannot see that happening ........ |
| News Comment | Cook: We Ended Up Losing a Game We Couldn’t Lose at 11:08:07
I said it on a previous thread, the buck stops with the manager, pure and simple. The players are of HIS choosing and they are playing to HIS tactics. Interesting comments on MOTD in relation to Manchester City; all the players give 100% because they know that is expected or they will lose their places if they don't. These are players on a minimum of probably £50k a week and others very, very, much more who could easily free load on the bench but clearly are motivated by their manager not to. Oh and Pep (and the other top clubs in the Premier League) play 4-3-3 ….. |
