I was at the AS Roma v Atalanta game in Rome on Sunday, 1-1 60k Mourinho got sent off! Average game but cracking atmosphere. We were (accidentally) beside the Ultras - those guys are fanatical! On the way in we were searched and had to show our passports three times. But when we got to the stand, not one steward, people standing in the walkways - absolute crush, like the North stand in the old days! We ended up standing nowhere near our seat! Great experience though, anyone else go to European games?
I sit in the West stand, I noticed on Saturday that the grass where the subs run to warm up is looking decidedly muddy - not like the Baseball ground in the 70s but much worse than I would've expected for the new pitch.
I'd be interested if anyone knows if this story, that I grew up with, is true. Late 60s Town were playing at Loftus Road, QPR fans had a drum and a Town fan managed to get in the home end and stuck his foot through the drum. We used to sing a song about it if I remember correctly.
Surely not - It seems impossible that we could keep this run going but who knows? I can see us remaining undefeated but i think we'll draw a couple and concede too.
It's going to be difficult for me to go tomorrow, so if anyone needs a ticket - Adult, Area 26 I think, front row. £24 - pick up from Ipswich centre ? PM me
