Ideas to Increase Gates and Get Portman Road Rocking Again
at 13:04:37

I agree with pretty much everything you have stated.

We need more of the memories on the walls. To be fair we haven't won an awful lot but we've won more than most clubs in this league.

The Away fan section should be moved nearer to the Sir Bobby Robson Stand in my opinion. Songs being thrown back and forth. If we are winning the place could be rocking with all the whole of the town faithful in the stadium baring down on the Away section with the Sir Bobby Robson Stand leading in full voice.

But most importantly, it doesn't matter whether we have good Burgers, loud enough music or a finished stand.

Fans will pay their money when the team WINS and play attractive football, easy on the eye. Then the fans (maybe the glory hunters) will come back. Until then we will stay the same.

McCarthy: No Arguments With Martin Red Card
at 23:46:14

As much as Lansbury rolled around on the floor Lee Martin is a professional, and when your team is fighting relegation you need your best players to get up and get on with it - not react to something so stupid.

Quite frankly if the guy eventually signs a contract to remain here next season then I won't exactly be jumping around for joy. Martin has cost us in games before for silly or reckless behaviour, he must learn and cut it out of his game!

Jewell Still Has Backing of Bosses

If he has doubt in himself then he shouldn't be manager of any football team. Marcus should see this.

Great blog! Amusing to read but the points you raised are spot on. At the end of the day though, PJ is the man to assemble this team and not up to us fans. If he continues to get it wrong then he should be sacked. This is very much his team now too. - simple as.

Hutchings Backs Hodgson
at 20:05:29

Fantastic Blog, I think every sane fan would agree with this.
As much as it's nice and exciting to see a new player pull on the Blue shirt, it's frustrating when they either go back to their parent club (via loan) or it just does not work out for the player and the club if big money has been spent.

But that doesn't happen with just us, it happens as every club. But we have to recognise we are in a better position than most clubs and at the moment and on past seasons we have not deserved to go up what so ever.

But I totally agree with this blog, the main thing we need is consistant players who are here, faith in Jewell.

Jewell I think has realised he's made a huge mistake in ageing players, and I think next season will see the youth come back, the likes of Lawrence, Whight, Cresswell will all play pivitol roles. Looking at the squad now we need 4 or 5 players to firm posisitons and see where it goes from there. To many names and to many has beens is not the way forward.

Jewell Wants Permanent Number One
at 17:09:00

Ever since Kelvin Davis left, the best goalkeeper to fill his boots is probably a goalkeeper nobody remembers..

Neil Alexander - who joined Rangers as their number 2. If we could get him back then he's the ideal choice.

Town Reported to Have Rejected Norris Bid
at 18:48:24

If Norris wants to stay at Ipswich then to be honest he should be signing the Two-Year deal he was offered and put it to bed. On the other hand he is probably our most influential player and the first name on the team sheet each week. So I would offer him what he wants as he is an important player, same with Gareth McAuley.

Blackburn Terminate Chimbonda\'s Contract
at 18:45:38

I agree with most of the comments on here with Blackburn calling for his contract to end rather than get a fee, seems strange but good for us, hopefully he will sign a deal with us and he seems to play well under Jewell when they were both at Wigan, still a good player but hasen't been the same since to be honest, despite his glamerous moves to Tottenham (twice), Sunderland and Blackburn, I think he is a good player to have in and around the club... Mr Jewell I believe you have some more negiotiating to do with Mr Chimbonda now!

Fülöp Claimed to Be Potential Manchester City Target
at 12:41:18

Hopefully this does not materialise but it wouldn't suprise me one bit if the move was confirmed, not everyday Manchester City come along call your name is it, yes he wouldn't be playing week in week out but the fact is he'll be earning more money, something he may feel he cannot turn down, we shall see if the fact of earning more money is more important than pulling on a football shirt and actually being part of a team...

Most like something to do with the fact you are not playing him in your First Team Mr Keane.. unless the Irish manager takes regular trips down to the likes of Clacton for reserve team games.. I think not :)

Keane Surprised at No Murphy Call
at 02:50:50

I believe that we are pretty much covered for Defenders in all honesty, Ben Thatcher last season didn't do anything wrong in my book to not even be considered as a back up player for this season, he's getting on but can still do a job, but David Wright I think is fine at Left Back.

Centre half we are covered for now Delaney is improving game by game at Centre half. I'd like to see Rosenior sign permanant experienced and pacy at a young age so he is worth the buy same with Lee-Barrett he should be given longer terms, but the goalkeeping posistion isn't a problem with 2/3 keepers playing after January.

Upfront and central midfield are concerns for me.
We need someone who either has a bit of pace and knows where the goal is, or an a big target man in the shape of Kuqi all them years ago.
central midfield I think Leadbitter controls the game well someone we have needed badley, but we need a bit of pace in there with him.

Apart from that we have Norris and Civelli to return from injury so they would be like new signings, Civelli hasen't played under Keane yet so that will be interesting.

We need goals though, that's the main weakness so i'd sign a striker as my main January signing maybe two.
