Starting to feel a little sorry for him in a sense that he came in, ruffled a few feathers, demanded more from some of this sorry lot and they didn't like it.
Easy ride for far too long playing for a nice family club. I fully believe PC will get us up if we stick with him / he sticks with us, but a huge job on his hand. We have no fullbacks on the field tonight, Stephen Ward is stealing a living at this point, can't remember the last time he stopped a cross.
Not sure if posted before but just watched it and some really interesting insights from Cook about his time at Wigan, ups and downs, giving managers time and why, as well as pressure from fans etc and some pieces on recruitment on a budget.
All round very insightful and relevant to us at the moment I felt.
Can we please now realistically lower our expectations in terms of the quality of our squad? Far from the best in the division as many claim. Easily the worst in the champ last year...and when you look through the list, not many are proven at this level or above. Admittedly, with KVY back, he's the best full back in the league so he adds another dimension but still. Most of the blame lies on Evans IMO, failing to invest again when in a good position half way through the season.
