He's a good player who has been incredibly unlucky with some bad injuries. Seems to have been injury free for the last two seasons. |

Cambsrover14 Given that he was the top scorer in the Championship (with a high conversion rate of chances scored) - he should be able to make that leap. But I do agree with you- 9-12 goals in the Premiership would probably be expected. Players who've scored for fun in the Championship have really struggled at that higher level. 8 million pounds plus add ons for a (soon to be) 29 year old striker is a superb deal for Blackburn. I can't see why they haven't snapped that up and moved on as quickly as possible. |
 | News Comment | Szmodics Talks Still Ongoing as Another Bid Turned Down at 14:24:53
Enough is enough. We should stop this process and offer some serious money for the No 18 who plays for Fortuna Düsseldorf (he's 22 years old and has been nothing short of sensational in his last 4 games for the club-against quality opposition). We all know what'll happen anyway when a bid does get accepted. Leeds/Southampton et al will suddenly join in as soon as they know what the situation is. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 Maidstone United - Match Report at 23:10:58
@londontractorboy This is a result that will go down in history for all the wrong reasons. If we had beaten Liverpool in the cup there would also be 6 pages of comments. Too angry to post initially but think I'm ready to now. We created chance after chance but like others have said here; nobody to finish. If we had had a decent finisher (Ladapo, Scarlet; even Yengi) this would have been over at half time. How have we let a situation occur where we have lost 4 strikers (Yengi-sold, Hirst-injured, Scarlet- returned from loan, Ladapo-out on loan) ? And we have brought no-one in!! And the player that we look like we are signing? Well off championship standard. Meanwhile a player that some fans said should be given first team time here (Chirewa) is now playing in the Premier League for Wolves!! I feel sorry for the young fans. They'll feel that sense of humiliation that we have all felt before and they'll be reminded of it for years to come. Maidstone mocking us about wanting to be Premier League "Premier League you're having a laugh" will be burned on my memory for years to come. |

Few supporters blaming the ref. Sorry but can't keep blaming the ref game after game after game. Yep, few decisions have seemed to go against us at times- but lack of a decent striker is obviously our main issue. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Fleetwood Town - Match Report at 22:10:33
If there was more injury time we would have lost the game. Fragility of our team is very noticeable, need resilience. Strength, determination of Fleetwood highly noticeable, they were not giving up. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Disappointing Night at 22:47:41
Fed up of being embarrassed in the cup competitions. Know it's not a huge financial loss from first round to second round but it's not acceptable. As fans we've had decades of humiliation in the cups, enough is enough. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Bolton Wanderers - Match Report at 22:15:39
Thought it was a good game and a decent result (we didn't lose it). Overall ; we were better on the ball but Bolton were more dangerous in the final third. Walton outstanding. Donacien and Morsy both had very good games. Worth mentioning that we had 5 debutants today. It's going to take time for these players to gel into the team and we shouldn't expect too much early on. Also, Bolton will definitely end the season in the top 8 so a good performance overall against a top half team. Yes, would have been nice to win it but once the new players have gelled I'm sure we will march up the table. COYB! |
 | News Comment | Donacien: We're Still Only in November at 08:20:23
Wouldn't say we have been outclassed. More about inconsistency, taking chances and occasional comic moments in defence. I've been mostly impressed with Donacien. Makes the odd mistake here and there but works hard and gives his all. |
