It made me chuckle when I heard that A spokesman said: “Marcus Evans reiterates that he is not actively looking to sell the club and remains fully focused on taking Ipswich Town back to the Championship” If this is Marcus Evans “Fully Focussed”, then I would hate to see what happens when he takes his foot off the gas! Anyway I still think selling to a US investor is a bad idea. I would rather a UK owner all day long.
50 years since the appointment of Sir Bobby, and what a legacy he left. There was a time when we sang Ipswich are the finest team the world has ever seen, and everyone believed it! Have you watched the Bobby Robson documentary on Netflix, so so good. I loved that Sir Alex Ferguson used to watch Ipswich train after being invited by Sir Bobby (even Bielsa would have been welcomed) Pep and Mourinho both at Barcelona during his time (amongst other greats) who were all influenced by that great man. He was my hero growing up and I miss him in football.
Me, I personally would welcome drinking on the terraces at Portman Road. At least I can then drown in my sorrows watching this dross! After 10 pints we might start to look good 😊
I can understand when players and managers have to move on for the good of their careers or the club . But is anyone else sad that we no longer get the chance to thank players, and give them a warmer send off? In the last few years especially we have become quite cold in that respect as a club.
