All4MND - cycle to Scotland
at 12:47 11 Sep 2023

Tomorrow a group of 30-odd riders set off from Ipswich up to Melrose Rugby Club (Doddy Weir's home club) raising money for the fight against MND.

Whilst we are all connected to Ipswich Rugby in some way, many of us are town fans and regular attendees at FPR, and with what Marcus Stewart is going through, I thought I'd share the info on here to see if anyone wanted to support!

Our website is here: https://all4mnd.co.uk/ and justgiving page is here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/all4mnd40

We're already over £150k raised against this terrible disease, so hopefully making a meaningful contribution to the fight, and if you can support that would be great.

Apologies if this is inappropriate, and Phil/Gav feel free to take down if needs be!

Cheers all - time to get a sore backside!

I did enjoy the 6-1 win v Leicester in 02/03 particularly. Think Fred Flintstone came over the PA with a "Yabadabadoo" when the 6th went in.

If Mordant becomes PM and Sunak chancellor
at 15:26 14 Oct 2022

I'm so angry at these idiots and the muppets in the Tory party who voted them in. Sunak was so clearly the right person for the job to lead things through one of the most challenging global economic periods we have had for generations, but instead these charlatans were chosen. God its so depressing.

This is always a cheery site to browse through - they do collect and analyse some decent data which can make you think - and the forum is worth a look too: https://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/

Must be risk of up to 20% slide, given squeezing on real incomes and increasing finance costs. Supply / demand can only negate a certain amount of downward pressure.

I certainly would be quite wary of buying at present.

RFU has said all rugby union to go ahead this weekend for respectful tribute. Anyone wanting to take in some live sport with a beer and pay tribute collectively can do so at local rugby club!

Have got the Saris M2 - cheapish smart trainer - hooked up to Zwift. Got it just as we went to lockdown (last trainer in town!) in March and despite getting out outside during the summer still used it quite a bit. Now really coming into its own.

Zwift is great - prebuilt training schedules to improve you and engaging scenery & "gameplay". Have got mine through laptop connected to 55" screen in the cellar - which is great.

Suggest you get a good fan too for your set up too as if you're anything like me you will sweat buckets!

Don't know if I am imagining it, but this time around, I'm noticing COVID
at 16:33 8 Oct 2020

I've seen estimates that true case numbers for March / April were actually 10-20 times higher than being reported back then. Also with c80% of cases asymptomatic, clearly it's much more widely spread now in the population than being reported.
