Sorry, my final paragraph came across way too negative. That was one of the best performances I've ever seen from Ipswich Town, and although I think the 4-1 scoreline is a little misleading, we were still the better team against a very strong Wycombe side, and deserved the victory. |

Christian Walton - 8. A very safe pair of hands, and has proved to be exactly the goalkeeper we needed.
Kane Vincent-Young - 9. One of the standout performers on his return to the side, some great runs.
Toto Nsiala - 7. Strong and solid.
George Edmundson - 7. Strong and solid.
Hayden Coulson - 6. Very unlucky to get that early injury.
Samy Morsy - 9. Man of the Match. Controlled the midfield, great tackling and running. What a player!
Lee Evans - 7. Good game, mostly notable for getting very upset with the referee!
Wes Burns - 7. Generally struggled in the first half, but scored an absolute cracker.
Bersant Celina - 9. His first goal was a cracker, that arguably won us the game as it was against the run of play. After that he was excellent before the nice added time goal.
Kyle Edwards - 7. An excellent assist for Bonne, but still made a few mistakes.
Macauley Bonne - 7. Our cult hero struggled a bit but his turning goal was awesome.
Rekeem Harper - 6. An average cameo.
Sone Aluko - 6. Just one touch, but it was a good clearance.
Cameron Burgess - 8. An excellent, defensive display at left-back.
Referee - 4. Poor decisions given to both sides.
Match Rating - 10.
To be honest, we were quite lucky in that match. They had a few clearances off the line, including one where a Wycombe player sat in our goal blocked one! Our first two came against the run of play, and Wycombe let their heads slip for the third and fourth. That's not to say we didn't fully deserve the win, but the scoreline is misleading. That was still a class performance from everyone on the pitch against one of the best in the league, and a great victory. Ipswich Town can hold their heads high! |

Incredible match; all eleven were class. I was tempted to give them all a ten, but decided to do it properly and just reserve that for the match. Hladky was commanding and made a good save, Donacien got forward and defended well. Both centre-backs defended solidly but had little to do. Penney was constantly assaulted but was always involved in attacks. Evans scored the first hattrick for five years, while Morsy totally dominated the midfield. Every time Burns got the ball, we looked like we might score. Celina was a little shaky at first but got two great assists. Fraser was always threatening and linked up well with those around him. Bonne scored two, including an absolute cracker. The subs had little impact but Harper and Aluko both had good moments. I loved every minute of that match, thank you, Ipswich Town! |

Great match!
Hladky - very good performance. Lots of excellent saves and not to blame for the goals.
Woolfenden - mostly very good but unfortunately responsible for the goals.
Burgess - solid throughout.
Vincent-Young - fantastic assist, but not great defensively.
Coulson - good in attack, but made a few errors.
Evans - not much to say, an average performance.
Harper - good at first but seemed to tire and made some mistakes.
Burns - average performance, a few good moments and unlucky not to score.
Fraser - struggled to get into the game but an excellent assist.
Edwards - brilliant footwork and lots of attacks, but not involved as much as hoped.
Bonne - superb. Two perfect finishes, and is the best finisher at Ipswich for some time.
Penney - very good when introduced. Unlucky to be dropped.
Dobra - didn’t influence the game much but did some good running.
Carroll - barely involved but didn’t have much time. |

What an absolutely outstanding performance by Andre Dozzell. Man of the Match in what was the best I've seen from any Ipswich player all season. Excellent too from Downes, Dobra and Parrott.
And a shout out too to Luke Chambers and Cole Skuse in their final games for the club. What brilliant players they have been for us over the last decade. |

Great in the first half, but Gillingham were better in the second half. I believe a fair reflection of the match would be 2-1 to Ipswich Town, with the two Ipswich goals coming in the first half and the Gillingham goal in the second half. |
