Paul Cook played in the infamous 0-2 game v Stockport in 1997 featuring Davids Kerslake and Whyte. So while 50,000 of us claim to have been among the 8,938 there that night*, our manager has proof.
* I wasn't, but I was at the almost-equally-awful 0-3 defeat at Charlton the weekend before.

He had a strange Ipswich career, didn't he? He made three substitute appearances of about 20 minutes each in three consecutive games in the same week, but never featured for the first team, not even as an unused substitute, on any other occasion, before or after.
Anyway, carry on.

Was anyone there? I was, it was a great day. We won 2-1, Boncho came on for them and got a song and a standing ovation from the away end.
Now, I was certain that we won the game in the last minute with Simon Milton's second goal, but a home programme from later in the season suggests that Milton was subbed in the 72nd minute. So, is the programme wrong, or has my memory embellished the day and fabricated the last-minuteness of the winner?

Straight into the Salford team today - that all happened quickly. They're playing Swindon, so he's up against Tyreece Simpson.

Because, with the news about Paul Mariner still fresh in the mind, *every* time I go to the home page and see the picture of Terry Butcher and the words "Legend Butcher", my brain jumps to the thankfully wrong conclusion.

First time we've ever used a fourth sub.
(In competitive games).
