McKenna: No Getting Away From It, Four Wins From 15 is Not Good Enough
at 00:26:31

I think it was Einstein who said that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results! That one quote sums up Ipswich Town at the moment. We can't continue to play dippy tappy football against teams who play with 10 men behind the ball. Look at the 2 Sheffield Wednesday goals on Saturday. Quick and decisive from one end of the pitch to the other and the ball in the back of the net. By comparison we are still on our 6th pass between the back 4! Yes it might be the modern way for top teams but it's not working in league one. The reality is teams have figured us out and we and or K Mc can't or won't change. Footballing principles and philosophies are well and good but another season in this dreadful league will be a disaster.

McKenna: First Half Well Below the Acceptable Standard
at 20:59:05

I think McKenna will be a great manger one day but I'm really not sure his type of football is going to get us promoted out of league one. Possession based football playing endless passes across the back 4 doesn't work in this league certainly not against teams like Cambridge. It's time for him to but his principles on hold and come up with a plan to win matches. We'd be a much better team in the championship that's for sure but we've got to get out of this league first and the plan isn't working atm.

Lincoln City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:26:21

Controlling games and dominating possession scores you zero points! Desperately need a top striker. Ladapo and Jackson just aren't good enough I'm afraid and no point in pretending they are. Still a long way to go but we can't afford to keep losing points to poor teams like Lincoln. Massive transfer window ahead

Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report

Despite all the positives of the ownership, manager, back room staff and the majority of the squad, how we have ended up with Ladapo and Jackson as our first choice forwards is absolutely beyond me. Given the number of crosses and chances we create any decent sticker would be on 20 goals already thus season

Shrewsbury Town 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 19:34:23

As Kenneth Wolstenholme once famously said “They think it's all over ….it is now” Just such a whimper of an end to the season. Think K McK is a breath of fresh air but is this squad really any better than the one so heavy slated last season. I'm not convinced. You can pick out individual players who maybe have added value, but overall I'm afraid it's the same old, same old. The bigger question is where we go from here. Another complete rebuild is out of the question. But it's going to be a massive window for the club. We've seen great support from the investors but I really worry that will be challenged if we have another season like this.

Karlosfandangal: 76 points won't even be close, wouldn't be surprised if 80 didn't even get you there! I think we need to win every game or at least 5 plus a draw to be anywhere close! Hope your right and I'm wrong though

Morsy: It's Still On
at 15:23:18

Not sure it is “still on” probably going to need at least 78 points for top 6 which means we need 25 points from 11 games, to get there. Not mathematically impossible but highly improbable unless we can start scoring.

McKenna: I'd Say We Shaded It
at 18:55:42

I might be in the minority but personally I would of taken a draw for this game. Next three games are most definitely winnable and that would put us right in the mix going into March. The value of another clean sheet is huge as well and we never looked like conceding.

McKenna: Early Goal Changed Complexion of Game

Magnus : I hope you are right but personally don't think 74 points will be enough more like 78 or even 80. I said at Christmas we need 25 points from the 14 games between then a and the end of February to be in the hunt and after 6 games we've got 12 so all to play for and a dreadful Gillingham team next week.

Aluko: We're Excited, I'm Sure the New Gaffer is as Well
at 17:40:14

PortmanTerrorist: I agree writing off this season might well be seen as defeatist but realistically it will require us to go on an unbelievable run. Looking at the top of the table currently and the teams in and around those positions, to get into the playoff any team is going to need 80 plus points, probably more likely 82 or 83. With half the season played we have 29:points. That means in the second half of the season we need a minimum of 51 points more likely 52or 53 That would be outstanding form equivalent to the best ever league winning points totals. Not mpossible I agree but highly unlikely. To stand any chance staring with Gillingham we need to go on a 7 or 8 game winning run and then see where we are then.

McGreal: Really, Really Poor First Half, the Inconsistency is the Crux of It
at 23:45:10

We're not inconsistent we're consistently rubbish. Huge game on Saturday now and what should be a massively positive event in front of a capacity crowd and the US ownership team, could with another gutless performance like this end in a PR disaster. What worries me the most though is that everything numerous Bristol City fans warned us about Ashton seem to be coming true!
