Ipswich Town 6-0 Exeter City - Match Report
at 17:31:02

Blue boy he may be Blue at heart and he was without doubt some player, but he's frequently shown petulance, arrogance blames everyone else for his managerial shortcomings. This club doesn't need that in a manager. Don't want to spoil the party but …………

Fantastic, unbelievable 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
KM has been incredible in getting our club back to where it belongs.
Anyone who still thinks Kieron Dyer should have been appointed needs to be dragged through the streets of the town for all to see. That man wouldn't have got us close to achieving this. Best day for over 20 years. Onwards and upwards. Thank you KM. Enjoy tonight everyone 🤩🤩🤩

Dyer Interviewed For Swindon Manager's Job
at 09:12:50

I wonder if he used one of his favourite lines at the start of the interview ……….. “do you know who I am”
He's used that one a lot over the years in clubs, pubs, restaurants and when trying to impress women etc. Had the pleasure of seeing it once …… hilarious.
Any job vacancy is normally filled by the best candidate who demonstrates the knowledge, working experience, maturity and shows why he would be a benefit to their company/ business. Dyer fails on 3 of these.

Dyer Interviewed For Swindon Manager's Job
at 18:03:28

Link boy is spot on. Dyer has demonstrated his extremely petulant and immature nature on many occasions. He's also played the race card as reasons as to why he's been overlooked for senior management positions. Feeling mentally broken after being snubbed by the club he worships is no different to other young players being released by him from the academy and being told that it is just the way football is. Can't see any serious club wanting him any time soon, and hopefully he'll never manage us.

Dyer Hurt and Disappointed By Town Caretaker-Manager Snub
at 15:46:32

Dyer needs to grow up and accept he's not the man to run our club. He obviously thinks his reputation as an ex player is more than sufficient qualification to have the job. How many academy players have not achieved their ambition but move on with acceptance and quiet dignity. When Dyer proves he's good enough to manage a first team, he may be considered. Stop bitching and get on with life.

Burgess: Frustrating One to Take
at 12:20:15

Once again a very frustrating and disappointing performance which we should have won comfortably. Also, can everyone stop saying that we are better off out of this cup and be so dismissive of it. This cup is an opportunity to get a few wins under our belt to try and re-build a winning mentality which we have been lacking for a very long time. A few wins breeds confidence which we really need.

U18s Manager Atay Resigns
at 10:57:05

Not surprised by this. The cosy existence of O'Neil, Dyer and Atay's regime at the academy finally comes to a grinding halt. Heard so many stories of issues that have been conveniently swept under the carpet during the tenure of these 3. New management obviously seen through these and they've chosen to leave before being pushed. A lot of great coaching staff left due to these 3 over the years. Yes, we have been pretty successful under their stewardship, but the future will be much brighter without them.

Hughes Signs New Deal as Options Taken on Simpson and Chirewa
at 07:53:59

Sadly I can see Simpson's career heading off a cliff like so many other young players who hit a bit of form early then wanting more than they are worth. This contract extension now means clubs will have to pay more money for a player who's done nothing since Xmas, going nowhere at our club, and doesn't want to be here to fight for his place. He will be left with the U23's next season and his value will plummet. Difficult to recover from this situation I fear.

McKenna: Simpson Wants to Move On in the Summer
at 15:25:57

Same crap, different season .............. how we wept when Charlie Brown went, when Ben Knight went, when Lewis Gibbs went, and now Simpson. Does anyone know where they are now ??? Sad to see it, but that's the reality of promising youngsters, agents and football these days.

U23s Return to Top After Win at Bristol City
at 17:08:21

Something isn't right…….. 4 months ago Simpson starting and scoring for Swindon. Now he's in U23's, not scoring regularly and subbed today (unless it was an injury) in a top of table clash. Is he finished at Town ????

Ashton and McKenna on Simpson
at 10:20:10

McKenna has seen this all before. Look at his previous employers. He knows what's going on, which players won't make the grade in his team, whether it's through ability or agents asking for ridiculous contracts. Simpson is now clearly going backwards. I said in January that he should have kept his head down, continued playing first team football at Swindon, then see what happens in the summer. Now he's with 23's, which is miles off first team standard, picked up an injury and McKenna obviously doesn't fancy him, as he can't even make the bench. He's only 20, so I don't understand the rush for contractual demands. Another season playing for Swindon, then see what offers are on the table from us or others. You need to be playing regularly or you become a has been very quickly. This isn't specific to Simpson, but my general opinion on the youngsters of today. At 20, very few players are ready for first team football.

Ipswich Town 1-0 Plymouth Argyle - Match Report
at 19:09:42

Great result today. McKenna has got us as building momentum for achieving play offs. Confidence growing, just need a little more up front but big improvement generally. In response to Algarvefan, Dyer needs to respect McKenna and keep his personal relationship with players away from the pitch. Dyer has left the club, he isn't involved anymore, and needs to step away. I'm sure he wouldn't like it he was the manager. Also Norwood should respect McKenna and sit with his teammates. Now is not the time to rock the boat, and Dyer would do well to realise this.

Dyer Resigns as U23s Manager
at 15:55:54

He did the same thing same when he was coaching the U18's a few years back, then he came back, supposedly a much better coach. To leave with immediate effect (again) doesn't show much respect to a club that still refer to him as a "legend" He always goes on about being Town manager one day ................ never going to happen. If he was 1st team manager calibre, he'd be employed as one somewhere by now. For someone who criticized players for lack of commitment, he should have a long look in the mirror.

Simpson Nets Twice as U23s Beat Swans to Hit Top of Table
at 16:53:54

Recently, Liam Gibbs showed promise at academy level. Then felt he was entitled to greater things. Haven't seen or heard of him since moving to Norwich. Simpson did well at Swindon so I guess he's looking for a better offer, but if KM leaves him in U23, he will probably be like others, playing at a level that will impair his development and slowly fade away into obscurity. Shame if it does, but we've seen it all before.

No Chesterfield Approach For Simpson
at 21:17:17

Either McKenna feels Simpson not ready for 1st team or Simpson/ Simpson's agent made demands and McKenna showing them who's boss, Simpson is not playing any time soon.

Grinch… how do you think Simpson won't buy into the current set up ? He was doing well at Swindon on a season loan, only to be brought back and put in the U23's. If they brought him back, why doesn't KM include him in 1st team squad. If he had no intention of playing him, why not leave him at Swindon to get a full season if 1st team football under his belt?

Jackson: I Feel Like a Footballer Again
at 12:47:01

Where does this leave Simpson? Did well at Swindon then brought back with many believing Jackson on way out. Simpson not even on bench for 1st team, and with current strikers now finding form, he's well down the pecking order.

Jackson: I Feel Like a Footballer Again
at 09:58:59

Sadly too many managers think that their way is the only way, with no consideration to the players he has or their abilities. They would rather bury their heads in the sand, losing game after game and then blaming players. Good managers adapt to what players they have at their disposal and work around them to get the best out of them, and surprise, surprise ……. we get improvements. Also, showing a bit of love to the players helps too. Don't call them out in public (PL & PC) It's basic man management that we've lacked for years. Well done Kayden, hopefully the previous crap managers can look at you and wonder how they failed you. Probably not though ….. with their heads still stuck in the sand.

Would all the Kayden Jackson haters please line up offer your apologies. Just goes to show that more often than not, the manager makes or breaks a player. Jackson made to train with 23's by previous managers and now a totally different player. Another good performance and result. Looks like we got a decent gaffer at last.

McKenna: Up to Simpson to Stake a Claim
at 17:41:42

Simpson must be absolutely gutted being recalled to play U23 football and have 4 strikers ahead of him OR he's incredibly foolish to throw away a full season of 1st team football, always starting and scoring goals, for the want of an improved contract. If it's the latter, these kids should appreciate what they have and be a little patient. A full season at Swindon, possibly 20 goals, and then think of his bargaining power. However if this is Ipswich using him as 4th choice backup, it seems very unlikely he's going to want to stay, as this could seriously damage his progress.
