Whya re these idiots sympathising with the defender on that handball?
at 17:33 21 Apr 2024

Think his arms were spread as if to say ‘I’m letting this ball go’ as he didn’t realise he had someone behind him, then he tried to bring his arms back in once he saw the player there but it was too late.

Stonewall pen, you can’t block a cross with an extended arm inside the six-yard box like that.

Extra time is the least Cov have deserved. United getting their keeper booked for time wasting against a side from a division below says it all - proper embarrassing from them.

I’ve always quite liked Crewe. Think it goes back to that 6-4.

Couple that could have been given today that the officials have let go - pen right before our goal behind the obvious one.

There was also a weird moment on 24 mins where it looked like Hladky walked out of his area with the ball in hand before rolling it out - maybe it was just my telly, but for one horrifying moment I thought we were in trouble.

All of that seems fair and reasonable, and it’s important not to get ahead of ourselves.

Also worth saying that Boro will be coming here to try and win, as a draw is no good to them. Feel we’re better against sides that come wanting to go for it against us than we are against sides willing to sit in and try to catch us on the break, so hoping that will play into our hands (in contrast to the way the Watford game went).

Tonight’s result means that a draw tomorrow is no disaster, so takes a little bit of pressure off.

Leicester’s points deduction
at 22:21 12 Apr 2024

If they don’t go up and end up with a points deduction next year (or possibly two points deductions, given their spending this season) they could be in a right state and with just one year of parachute payments left.

Wouldn’t that be bloody glorious?

Quite a clumsy, ‘barrelling in’ kind of challenge, wasn’t it?

If it were a big centre half making the tackle like that I reckon he’d give it.

Today always felt like a ‘both teams to score’ kinda game, felt inevitable they’d score at some point.

Plenty of time left, and I reckon we’ll see town play a lot better second half.

Reckon the yellow for Tuanzebe was playing on his mind, and hopefully to his thinking he’s now ‘levelled things up’.

To be clear, I thought Axel won the ball cleanly, but if you give the free kick there he had to be sent off.

I'm jealous! I've been able to watch about 60%, but thankfully I have ESPN so have been able to watch the others on there.

I was basing my prior post on comments from the club themselves - there was an interview towards the start of the season where they said they had still done the Town TV broadcast for the Sunderland game but it had almost nobody watching as they were only able to stream it in a handful of countries.

It has, but that's only because the team have performed so well.

On the other hand, I quite enjoy the Latin American commentary on our games on ESPN. There's a pair of Mexican commentators who have covered us a few times this season who are absolutely enamoured with Wes Burns, and hearing them wax lyrical about him has been genuinely entertaining.

Think this one will be televised across most of the world. ESPN are showing it here in the Americas.

Town TV's stream will only be available for fans in countries where no broadcaster has the rights to show the game - for widely internationally televised games that's usually a pretty short list of mainly nations in central Africa, like Chad or the Central African Republic (for anyone thinking about a trip to that part of the world over the weekend).

That save was outrageous. The roller coaster of emotions over 5 seconds from the ball going back to Vaz to it going behind for the corner was wild. Had the same when Fridge tapped home for first disallowed goal, then realising the flag was up.

Sorry to be an absolute pedant, but Cov could still catch us, although it would need an almighty turnaround on goal difference.

84 points and top of the league on Good Friday. What is this?!

Believe that is the case for clubs in leagues one and two, but there is a different set of rules governing FFP in the championship.
