With an emphasis on maintaining homegrown players in the premier league, they (the premier league clubs) cannot rely on academies to provide those players, they need the lower leagues to provide some of those players too.
What has happened to Bury and possibly Bolton too will / could happen to other clubs quite easily. The result would be obviously less filter clubs, fewer opportunities for the players of the future.
The premier league has an obligation to save the lower league clubs from extinction, but can you see it happening? |

He's not a team player for Town, he obviously has skill but maybe can't integrate with all the other players on the pitch. If he causes bad feeling in other players by giving them 'a look' when they haven't run for a pass or delivered a ball where he wants that's not good for the team
