How many points to finish in top two?

Seems like it's going to be a relatively low total to go up automatically

What's Sunderland's away allocation?

I'm in a meeting for the entirety of tomorrow but am assuming tickets will at least go until tomorrow night...?

Looking for some advice for Sunderland away. Can anyone recommend an affordable hotel? Preferably near Newcastle..? Also, what’s the best way to get up there? Train tickets £140 return!!

Woolfie
at 16:39 8 Jan 2020

Heard Brenner signing Luke's praises on the radio on Saturday because he is always looking to keep the ball on the floor and look for a forward pass. Does anyone else think BW is off the mark a little? Woolf knocks rather aimless balls down the flank numerous times during games (Maybe because of lack of options showing in midfield...?)

Btw, I'm a fan of Woolf & he is a great prospect but thought that comment was a bit off.

EDIT: I know Woolf is more than capable to play it on the floor, but for whatever reason he is not. Lack of options and teams style of play come to mind. Just thought the timing of the praise was odd

No more games under the lights at PR 19/20
at 11:10 10 Dec 2019

Just a quick one, just realised that after tonight we don't have any more home games scheduled mid week/evening kick offs.

Are some of the pp games going to be scheduled mid week at a later date? Do we have any idea of likely dates?

Levski Sofia... racism and neo-nazis
at 08:33 25 Nov 2019

So me and a couple friends have visited Sofia in Bulgaria this weekend and decided to go catch a football match whilst we were here. We went to Levski Sofia and couldn’t quite believe what we saw/heard. We knew it was a possibility that it’d be bad after the recent situation with the international teams but wow that out did our expectations on the problem!!

Two sections of ‘ultras’ mostly skin heads all wearing full black, sunglasses, hoods up and some with balaclavas. Throughout the match they were in a constant nazi salute (kind of how we clap for a good bit of play, they will give a nice old fashioned salute...). They were also chanting “Sieg Heil” at points and it was pretty silent when the first goal went in when it was realised a black player had scored.

Very very weird and quite scary place. Absolutely disgusting & this was in a very quiet match against a small team. A quick google shows the scale of the problem

Fred Barber? What’s with the mask...
at 10:17 2 Nov 2019

A little before my time but have just stumbled upon this on Twitter... Seems that he made one appearance for us in 1995 but what I’m interested in is WHY ON EARTH DID HE ALWAYS WEAR A FREDDY KRUGER MASK?! One of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen in football

Anyone else think he deserves a start? Always a game changer for me, just doesn't get enough minutes to make a huge impact. Could terrify a defence like Southend's

Panic stations already?!
at 09:18 24 Oct 2019

I'm personally not panicking at the moment but have seen a lot of people saying things like they're extremely worried or that Lambert is an inept manager and doesn't know what he is doing... For one, let's remember what he has done of the pitch.

Thoughts?! is it really time to sh*t ourselves this much??

We have averaged 2.1 points per game thus far, last years automatic promotion spot averaged at 1.97 points per game.

We have had a flying start and have definitely hit a wobble, no denying that. But I for one am not panicking

I think once we have Downes and Nors back at full fitness we will be just fine. We could do with recruiting some more physicality in January too imo.

All that said, I do hope Lambert goes to a solid 442 with some width and picks a consistent base of players now. Stability does seem to be needed within the side

Negativity..
at 10:27 21 Oct 2019

I've seen a lot of negativity around yesterday's result and all of a sudden people are questioning Lambert's decisions and if 50% of the squad are good enough.

Yes we played terribly yesterday and the management and coaching staff got it wrong, but, lets remember that is our first loss of the season and we also had 3/4 key players out.

It's all about how we bounce back from a loss, don't be so concerned yet... and please STOP MOANING.
