Lambert Tight-Lipped on Ward Return Claims
I agree that he may flourish under Lamberts management, we lack players with real penetration who can run with the ball, other teams hate it and not enough do it these days. I say give the lad a chance maybe play him on a game to game basis and see where we are at the end of the season?
Southend United 1-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report
We have certainly played better than we did today that's for sure, thought Southend passed the ball better than us at times and weren't as bad as some of you are making out. There are players out there who are giving it their all but lack the skill and composure at times.
I must admit though I get fed up every week at people having a go at Chambers and only Chambers, yes he makes mistakes but there was also a good deal of excellent work at the back by him again today. Nobody is perfect but Chambers always gives his all.
Lambert: I Said We'd Have Bumps and Bruises Along the Way
I have not seen so many of our players have a bad game in one match before tonight, it happens, move on.
Having said that our song could have been 'strangers in the night' tonight. Stop all the rotation changes Paul and play 4-4-2 and the players will get used to each other and the system.
Ipswich Town 0-2 Rotherham United - Match Report
Right firstly lets not panic, we were never going to go all season unbeaten.
I am old now and remember the times we didn't win the old first division when we should have as our squad was not big enough, the team, barring injuries, picked itself every week and every game. If there was 3 games in 7 days, players didn't train, the rested and did well from that.
My point is we are now in Division 3 (old money) and fr our squad to be 'rotating' is a farce, we don't have the quality of players to do that. Tonight (didn't see Sundays game) we were like a bunch of kids picked in a local park kick about. Players running into each other and passes galore going astray or the wrong pass being made. The team needs to be settled and players need to get to know each other. It seems currently every game there are 4 or 5 changes, it doesn't work well even for the wealthy teams.
All we can do as fans is get behind the team, I have never in my 55 years as a Town fan booed my own side, it's disgusting, so please don't do it, it helps nobody.
So please Mr Lambert 4-4-2 and pick the same team each week as often as you can, stop tinkering with the players and the formations, it confuses them.
Accrington Stanley 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
dare I say from the team selection that Lambert underestimated Accrington just a tad, on paper in the bottom 3 and the performance looked the other way around. I have said for ages that Judge was not good enough, he doesn't want to be at Town and should have been let go to QPR.
I think Wednesday will be a big test for us now especially if the missing 4 are still missing. Wilson was the key man in defence and imo has been our best player this season, so hopefully he at least will be back after his one match ban.
Today has been a reality check, roll on Wednesday and hopefully a better performance.

Town Open Lambert Contract Talks Claim
I hope this goes forward and is done.
However why would he even consider moving from us to the Stadium of Shight they are not doing so well and are in no way a better football club that Ipswich. Well that's what I think anyway!!
Lambert: There Will Be Bumps Along the Way
I'll tell you what I'm happy about and that is we are trying to play football the right way, the Ipswich way. As long as we do that we'll be OK.
Keane to Be Assessed Ahead of Fleetwood Clash
I really feel for the guy, if fit however he wouldn't be with us he'd be a league or two higher, you can see his quality when he plays. I hope he gets through this as I think he could be so important to us, fingers crossed for you WK.
