Nash to Leave Town
Has done well and was highly regarded for his work with the youngsters, I accept things are changing but sad to see this guy go, believe he will have a good managerial career and come back and manage Town one day. All the best Nashy.
Contract Options Exercised On Jackson and Donacien
Donacien I get, a good utility defender that can fill any gap across the back 4.
Jackson like our other strikers has had very poor service this season but for his own sake he needs to move on and find his Mojo again. Runs his heart out but no real end product currently.
Town Confirm Chambers and Skuse Exits
Huge respect for 2 professionals who have served the club well, great to see so many positive comments on here, it really is. Thanks for your service guys I wish you all the very best for the future wherever that may be. If Freddie is going then I add those wishes to him too, a great guy who gave it his all.
Wilson Wins Player of the Year
Well done James, who I voted for!!
It has to be said that his appearances have coincided with Towns better form this season and that's because he is what I look for in a centre half, tough, no nonsense straightforward defender who rarely let the side down at all. His experience showed and he reminded me of Tony Mowbray in the way he played.
Baggott Delays Joining Indonesia Squad
I certainly see this young man as one for the near future, he has a maturity that belies his years and I see him being a first team squad member next season. A bright prospect of him and Woolfie at the heart of our defence for years to come.
Colchester Linked With Triple Blues Move
Wherever they end up, they have been good servants to the club, all three of them often played out of their preferred position to cover the squads lack of resources. It's easy to be critical on here, but I would never doubt for one moment their collective commitment and effort for the Town. Those of you on here rubbishing them, shame on you, you are not proper supporters.
Swindon Town 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
I don't know what it is and if I did I would bottle and sell it!! Last night I saw an under 18 side at Town fight all the way with a spirit and a passion I haven't seen in the first team for years.
If Paul Cook can capture that spirit and bring in the right players with the right attitude then we will be fine, the current squad look defeated when the walk out. I believe Cook will achieve this 'Esprit de corps' but will take him a little time. The question is do you have the patience as supporters?
Norwood Skippers Blues at Swindon
Phoenix Rising our American owners club won 4-1 in their first match of the season last night, so come on you Blues!!!!!
Former Striker Rhodes Linked
Hitting the heights with the new owners I see, quite honestly I can't see the spend you are all anticipating, we are third tier club struggling to get anywhere, who will want to come here unless the money is right and are they the kind of players we want? I see Phoenix Rising have had a poor pre-season having changed their entire first team, sounds like Paul Hurst all over again, I guess time will tell.........

I have watched with interest the past few weeks at the goings on at ITFC, more at what is not said than said.
Paul Cook already looks like a man out of his depth and maybe he is the architect of his own downfall. There has been much talk by him of wholesale change in the summer, Judge and others gone already, what way is this to motivate your players who think they have no future at the club. Nothing should have been discussed until the last ball was kicked, players told that if they wanted to stay they would need to prove themselves and reach peak fitness as soon as practicable. WE might as well have cancelled our remaining games when talk switched to the summer immediately after the takeover. ALL our players lack confidence or are under performing and Cooks comments have not helped one little bit.
So what of the future, well another season in League 1 is all but guaranteed, may I remind people that wholesale changes as per Paul Hurst were a disaster last time and are no guarantee this time. An arm needs putting around that squad to help boost confidence, but it's probably too late for that now!!!
Let's just hope next season will be better?
Charlton Athletic 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
Lets be honest here, a few weeks ago talking about the run in this would have seemed a good result away from home, a game IMO we should have won. We still have an outside chance of the Play Offs and who knows if we make it.
Keep the faith guys.
Cook: The Club Will Be a Very Different Place Come August
Question, How can you start this process without knowing exactly what your budget will be for replacements, asking for a friend, so don't hang me out to dry. We can all get carried away with having new owners, everyone says the right thing but personally, I'll wait and see. I have heard little ducks fart before!!
Cook: We're a Million Miles From a Good Team, Supporters Must Be Tired and Bored By Now
This is an article from this site in 2012 from Richie Wellens a loan player. Seems to me to be what I said on here earlier, it's a long standing problem and will take a while to sort out, it's the club as much as the players!!! Read below, this could have been last night not 9 years ago!
"Wellens, who is with the Blues from Leicester until November 10th, said: “A new manager needs to come in and put a rocket under their backsides because there are not enough people who show they care about losing or even their own careers.
“One of the coaches said that the old manager got stick for bringing in loan players, but it is the loan players who are showing they care and that is a sad indication of what is wrong.”
He refused to blame those coaches for Saturday's display: “There is a full week to get someone in but everything Chris [Hutchings], and Sparky [Mark Kennedy] have said and done in the days before the game were spot on.
“If we are allowing balls to drop in the box and not clearing the ball or not stopping shots, or winning a header, you are going to get beat and that is not down to the coaches.”
He added: “We need people to show passion, to show they care. It is difficult when you are getting the ball and no one else wants it. It is human nature when you are under pressure to go and hide but we need a better attitude, and to act like men.
“I have always thought of Ipswich as a nice club and that was confirmed when I got here. It is a little too easy, too cosy.”
The 32-year-old former Manchester United trainee continued: "Defensively we were a bit of a shambles. We did not compete with their physicality and they won every headed ball in both boxes."

I wish people would understand that it doesn't matter who the manager is after 14 years of total neglect, the players we have are just not good enough with a very few exceptions. A total lack of investment has led this group of players to believe they are untouchable, can't be replaced. The problem has been our ability to create chances and score for several years now, the squad needs replacing and as to whether Cookie is the right man for the job, only time will tell.

Please can we just end the season now I can't take another 7 games of this it's unbearable. I feel sorry for those who do (and there are a few) try hard for the club.
I wish I shared the rosy view for next season, we have no indication of what the investment might be, but if money were no object I would only pick a small handful of players to stay. I was shocked at the triple substitution too, we were at least on top when it was made, I feel so sorry for Cook, what a shambles the team where tonight. Feeling pretty depressed with these performances.
