I have very fond memories of watching John O’Rourke play as it was at a time I first started to go to some away matches and he was a regular goal scorer.
I think you will find that he actually scored more goals away from home than at Portman Road.

I remember him from his playing days when I used to watch them training at Portman Road.
I was struck by his enthusiasm and cheerfulness. It didn't subsequently surprise me that he stayed in the game for the rest of his career.

Sad news - Town fan & friend of mine died in a crash yesterday evening.

I'm shocked to read this terrible news as I knew Gordon from when I was a member of the London Branch.
In 2001/2 season we shared an Away Passport. I went to the Midlands and the Northern games whilst Gordon covered the London and Southern grounds.
Life is so fragile.
