Both the salt mines and Auschwitz will take a day on their own. You need to book a tour for both, you can get tickets from agents on florianska street just off the main square or buy them online in the UK beforehand. You can walk to Schindlers factory, it’ll take about 40 minutes, you can pay on the door. There is an absolutely fantastic live music bar called “Harris piano bar” on the main square just near the statue of huge head on its side, well worth booking a seat beforehand though. When you get to the airport don’t bother with a cab the trains are quick and plentiful and will take to the centre (Glowny). Make sure your hotel is in the centre because that’s where all stuff is, I’ve been loads of times as I own a couple of apartments there so I learnt by painful experience. Last time I went (2023) my son and I took a Segway tour which was brilliant. You’ll have a great time, it’s a fantastic city and eating a drinking is relatively cheap.
Bad news, never the biggest fan but was lucky enough to see them at Essex uni on their first album tour and then at the Ipswich Gaumount on the “meat is murder” tour without realising that was my “I saw Jimmy Hendrix” moment. Bass had a great sound and they were so different, blew everyone away when they first found fame. RIP
Bit of a treat coming to the Colchester Arts centre on the 27th of October. Police Dog Hogan are playing, if you’ve never seen them mixture of Americana and folk all done with plenty of chat and good humour. Seen them loads of times up here (Leeds) and have never failed to entertain. Anyhoo just spreading the word.
Yep, went with my brother. Remember they’d named the man of the match and all seemed doomed. Managed to shout ourselves hoarse in 5 minutes. Probably my favourite match. Going tomorrow, looking forward to a Town win. Promotion in the bag if we do. COYB
All comments noted, just a thought. I am really looking forward to the match though, can’t wait to see Broadhead play. I’m going for a 3-1 town win. COYB
Went to see it yesterday and ,despite being about Norwich City supporters, I absolutely loved it. Only one observation which is what is it with actors and East Anglian accents?. The lead actors Florence Pugh and Jack Lowden were excellent but seemed to come from somewhere in the west country. Anyway don't let that stop you from going it really was excellent with plenty of belly laughs.
Cheapest adult ticket to see Ipswich since I can remember, £12. Not sure if they have a promotion on the game or that's their regular adult ticket price. Anyhoo excellent value.
