Town 1-1 AFC Bournemouth - Match Report
at 20:15:58

Hoofballers 1 Footballers 1
The fact that we didn't lose this game was nothing to do with 'containing the opposition' or 'battling tactics' . It was down to a fluke that they didn't score more. I wish that some of the time we could play like Bournemouth did today - after all it was always the way WE used to play

Town 0-1 Derby - Match Report
at 19:59:13

Having played some reasonable football in recent games I don't know why we reverted to 'hoof-ball' today. Most times when the ball is whacked aimlessly upfield the opposition retain control & we're defending again. In a strong wind there's even more reason to play a passing game.

Hoofball again. As is often the case at PR it was the away team playing the decent football.

Carlos is a player with far too much natural ability for a McCarthy team.
Good luck to him.

Also the blogger was not comparing JET's ability with Bergcamp or anyone else , he was merely drawing attention to the fact that his best ability is in that position

A very good blog . It highlights the problem faced by many skilful players over the years from fans criticism. The average Ipswich supporter seems to rate highly those players with a hefty boot or a crunching tackle or run around a lot..
Players in the past such as David Johnson (the 1st) , Clive Woods , Finidi and even Darren Currie have failed to find favour with the fans for their failure to 'get rid of it' , & their ability on the ball being either overlooked or not appreciated.

Hunt on McCarthy's List

His biggest claim to fame is for deliberately kicking Petr Cech in the head. I hoped we'd lost the dad's army tag. Would much prefer talented youngsters

Rugby World Cup Could Still Come to Town

Don't knock it. Rugby is a useful outlet for those who do not have sufficient coordination to play sports. Not sure if we need more non-sports at PR though.

Redknapp Rumours Reach Tabloids as Leeds and Wolves Linked With Hyam
at 12:34:24

Jon 456 - certainly highlights the crazy situation where Jewell persisted with useless Leadbitter when we knew he was crap. We don't want Redknapp or his dog within miles of here - we've had enough dodgy characters over the past few years, Thatcher , Keane , Bowyer etc. let's keep our feet on the ground

Sindre - why the negativity ?
Only a friendly maybe but an excellent performance - nice to see the interplay between JET , Luongo & Martin. Back to our passing game today for the first time in ages. How PJ must regret persisting with Leadbitter for so long when we all knew he was useless. Kourouma looked class & I hope we can finalise his signing before the word gets round. Only disappointment was Carson who did very little right apart from tackling back a couple of times.
I'm more optimistic than I've been for a long time.
