| News Comment | Town Accept Charlton Offer For Fraser at 11:56:01
We keep the loan player (Celina) and dont give Fraser a look in with the new manager? Not a fan of this move but at least it sounds like we dont lose money. |

Fraser, Harper, Edwards and Piggott need to be playing for us and given time. Parking then behind loanees at this stage is short sighted |

The guy runs at Morsy with his arm up, Morsy reflexively raises his arm, huh goes down like he was hit with a missile. Jog on you tossers |

I hope Harper Edwards have not been prematurely written off by the club. Harper struggled but he was playing in the early games where the whole team was a shambles. He seems to have taken a large share of the blame for that and Evans came through relatively unscathed even though he was a prime culprit in afew of the early awful results. Anyway, welcome Ty |

Wtf is wrong with our club? Who replaces an entire squad and is just as bad if not worse? At this point I would take a boring manager who just beats the performances out of the players. Gutted after this one. |

He is different to Bonne and Piggott who are a mismatched pair if you want to play two up top. Nors only contribution this year was heading on for Bonne to equalise in game 1 with his first touch, and has been frozen out since. His omission is yet another indicator of cooks stubbornness and preference for square pegs in round holes. |

He just needs the right manager here. He's been moved about in a broken system. Way to early to write him off. |
| News Comment | MacAnthony: Ipswich is a Dream Job For Someone at 12:46:26
Lets look at the options: * Marc Bircham: My Dad (life long QPR fan) rates this guy very highly, thinks he would get us sorted out but like afew more on this list I think lacks experience * Neil Harris: Polar opposite in playing style, no thanks * Neil Lennon: Really hard to guage how good he is based on his record. Bolton was rough for him and Hibs didnt look wonderful (~47% win record) * Lampard: doubt he would come, but like this one * Terry: No thanks * Rooney: Too early to tell * Jack Ross: Nope, he had his chance and has been sprinting downhill ever since And then the Ipswich connections (Kuqi, McGreal etc) no, I think we need something different. New blood. One thing that concerns me is Ashton didnt hire the best managers in his time at Bristol City. |
| News Comment | Kuqi Applies For Manager's Job at 21:46:36
As much as I want an "Ipswich man" in charge, after the last 20 years I prefer a bloody good manager. Everyone thinks they know whats wrong but its far more complex than just hugging the fans. Cooks problem to me was he was too rigid tactically, but otherwise he believed in playing the right style and was a very likeable and pro-supporter type of guy. The squad he assembled had the balance wrong for this league, look at the top 6 and you will see that. Whoever comes in needs to be smart and bold enough to set us up to win games, and us as fans need to understand that in this league sometimes that will mean fighting ugly with ugly, and right now we dont have the mix of players capable of doing that it seems. We want to play people off the park and play the "ipswich way" and all of that, and we dont want to go back to permanent Mick ball just to get us up quickly, but we also need to be realistic and play each game as it needs to be played. Cook failed at that. Anyway, just my feelings on it, I will continue to follow the circus regardess. COYB. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-2 MK Dons - Match Report at 01:12:10
What a game that was. Never felt safe for us, credity to MK Dons. More positive showings from us in all areas of the pitch and at the end of the day, horrendous errors cost us and PC cannot be blamed for that. He wasnt in goal or in Evans position which is the only way he coud of infuenced those key moments. I think it was PCs best post match interview, he said as much as he could without unnecessarily burying anyone. I actually think some of the players are suffering from height of expectations and PC openly talking about promotion but I am sure they can get over that in time. All of them work their socks for the team and are playing the style of football we have wanted to see since Saint Matty Holland and co were with us. Its only 4 games gone, we will get there and I believe in the team and PC. COYB |
| News Comment | Town Closing in On Carroll at 04:56:19
Edit to my previous notes and apologies to Tom Carroll. Dad confirmed the player who was up himself was Tod Kane and not Tom. Welcome Tom! |
| News Comment | Town Closing in On Carroll at 16:05:45
My Dad is a QPR fan an they seemed to have issues with his attitude, hence the contract not being renewed. From the QPR fans perspective at the time Dad said the guy thought he should be playing at a higher level and wasnt content in the championship - which is why he didnt take a new deal. Anyone know any more about him? |
| News Comment | Burton Albion 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 01:49:04
Encouraged to see some positive comments here. Disappointing to lose but the penalty was soft and seemed more of the Ted evening the scores but overall we handled a big physical and rather unimaginative opponent pretty well overall which is great considering it was a much changed team from the first two games. We as fans can't expect a brand new team to instantly click, but the signs are there in the way we are with the ball and the danger some of our players pose that when we click it's going to be something special. Fraser looks class the more I see of him and good lord what a player we have in edwards based on his contribution. He is far too good for league one. Lots to improve but cook is a training pitch manager so I'm confident he will get it right. We have to stick with him and the players. He gave us the clear out we were all begging for but he has brought in a lot of young and largely inexperienced players so they need time but the signs are definitely there for us. COYB |
