Simply the best. He once presented me with a supportrs club award. He was really one of us, very down to earth personable and friendly. I was amazed meeting him a few years later that he remembered my name. A great loss to the Ipswich Town family |

Happy being blue- People of faith run soup kitchens, food banks, town pastors luncheon clubs for the elderly , youth clubs for the young, raise money for endless causes both in this country and overseas and countless other things usually free of charge. The vast majority of wars in the last 1,000 years have been non religious Most of the worlds troubles are simply caused by human greed and the lust for power. Which brings me nicely to the plight of Ipswich town football club who are really victims of the way football is structured having got relegated at a time of inadequate parachute payments we have never properly recovered. We cannot even keep our best youth players now until they are 16 without a premier league club going on a raid. Its becoming a cartel by the backdoor because they could'nt get agreement on Premier league 1 and 2 with no relegation. Its all about the investors i'm afraid. Marcus Evans has invested enough to keep us afloat but not enough to satisfy premier league ambitions. |

Great that he is able to talk about his faith openly very much like Josh Emmanuel ( God with us ) The idea that religion is a private matter and shouldn't be spoke about publicly sounds a bit oppresive. Footballers are profiled in the media and asked about all aspects of their lives from favorite foods to preferred holiday destinations. Why not his faith.One thing for sure is his faith will have made him more humble and level headed. Football needs people like him. Sign him up |
