How many seasons in a row have we had to read this story and the same justifications from the club?
Marcus, I agree completely about having to select games. Due to the cost of travel+tickets, I now pick one game a season to go to - for the price of 2 games at Portman Road i got a season ticket for my local national league team - I'd love to get to more but simply can't justify spending that 20% of my disposable income getting to a game.

Well Done! The FFP rules are incredibly difficult to comply with for a club like ours. As a trainee accountant I can only applaud town for controlling the finances so well, I do appreciate that this affects the quality of the team but I remember the worry of our administration - I'd rather have this team than no team at all. Mick is working miracles at the mo! |

Sindre - I'd think the reason we don't loan him out with a recall clause is that he's good cover on the bench for both LB & CB. I agree he does seem to have the right attitude which I guess is why MM is talking about him so that he feels valued at the club. |

I'd be surprised if he goes. As good as he is, he's not the striker to keep Palace up and they won't pay £4m for him any other clubs will surely wait til the summer when they'd pay less for him. It's more likely his agent 'creating' interest to get a better & extended contract as if he only has a year and a half left on current deal it'll be up for renegotiation this summer. |

Enjoyed the game, I spoke to a few Chippenham fans and they understood why we played the side we did - more disappointed that Tyrone was injured.
I have to say HarryfromBath got it spot on and agree with corshamblue, their number 7 'Super' Joe McClennan looked very good in the first half. |

I'm sorry it didn't work out for JET and wish him well for the future.
In terms of the financial aspect, if no one came in for JET it was always likely we'd pay up his contract (I wouldn't be surprised if we do the same with Chopra) at least in this deal we get a new player as well and obviously no one else wanted JET or they would have come in over the last fortnight. |

It seems pretty obvious he wasn't going to come back, we know Mick is working to a budget and we are never going to compete with clubs who have the benefit of parachute payments.
I'm have to say I'm happy with the number of signings Mick has secured already, I'm sure he'll make more, as he has said there will be players who won't have a club as it gets closer to the window closing and will have to lower their wage demands, I think a lot of our business will be done then. |

An interesting blog Tim, I don't think the question should be would football fans accept players being sent off for abusing an official (clearly the answer would be no at the moment) but rather why does football currently accept players abusing officials?
I was brought up as both a football an rugby fan (you didn't have much choice in Bath), my greater concern is that rugby is becoming more like football since it turned professional, the Hartley incident being evidence of this and the game is developing in to the win at all costs attitude you see in football. |

I thought it was obvious from the previous story Clegg went to reduce the wage bill to help fit in with FFP, so we were never going to recruit another CEO. Someone needs to be in charge so it makes sense to give these guys extra responsibility. |
