oscarwhiting- I quite agree. Dowson are you sure you were even there? Kisnorbo was excellent except for one poor tackle after 10 mins where he gave a free kick away on the edge of our box. He was solid in the air and actually marshalled the defence. Personally he would of started the next game if I'd been picking the team. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Disappointed to Concede After Break at 00:37:08
Kisnorbo was a big plus to me. Apart from his rugby tackle after 10 minutes that got him a yellow card, he marshalled the defence like a long playing town captain rather then a player making his debut . What was impressive to me was that he made the most effort to come over to the town fans at the end of the game, reminded me of how Matt Holland always made an effort to show his appreciation for the support. Imo would be a good permanent signing if possible. |

As I said when pj left, "unless clegg follows things will not change". We can refer to our town as a great club but I'm afraid after years of tearing it apart then we're purely talking history rather then the present. Believe me it pains me to say it but all the things that built our club up from a humble position have been replaced with quick fix, money splashing, nonsensical decision making. This is going to take more then a motivating manager to turn around the damage done. Get MM some footballing, blue blooded support, not Clegg. It's not personal, it's the solution. Look for a common thread to the deterioration of the club, and it goes further then players and managers. You can't keep blaming everyone else Mr C. Once upon a time we had a youth set up that regularly provided players that were gradually introduced to the first team and became our favourites. Ask yourselves, surely before 8 loanees we would expect at least one or two players to step in as replacements from the clubs younger teams. Unless things change radically then please for your own sake keep your expectations. low! |

Desperate times call for desperate measures and this is desperate! I think Mick can do a job in keeping town up, which at the moment is what were all interested in and is the priority. I just wonder how long it will take for the moaners to start about the style of play. I just hope he's allowed to shake the club up top to bottom. And I can't see him being messed around by Mr Clegg, which is a major plus. |
 | News Comment | Hutchings: Senior Players Let Me Down at 20:25:16
Like the team i feel the lowest i have ever felt following town in 35 years but please can anyone tell me what good it does to berate the players and abuse them during the game? How in any way do you think it helps? There are some fans, sorry, so called fans who really don't have a clue. I'd go with Sir Bobby's description back in his day but also just add that they can stay away because if that's your idea of supporting your team we don't need you. |

Here's a new name by the way, Torsten Lieberknecht. Young manager and coaches a good balanced team. |

Best wishes Paul, their were more behind you then you might have realised, at least hoping you would succeed then a few praying for you to fail. Unless Clegg now follows nothing will change. The integrity of a sewer rat from what I can see. Voices support and yet he's lining up replacements for weeks!!! 34 knives in his tool kit alone. Not the first time either so lesson for next victim to learn. Hence a football man with integrity and knowledge to fill that role. Needle and hay stacks do come to mind, I admit. Time to learn from repeated mistakes. If not, within no time you'll be calling for another managers head, all too many claiming that they know best. The state town are in will not be fixed in a few weeks. So I hope a wise choice is made and then time is given to get things right. It's not just the club that has lessons to learn but a few fans that are far too short sighted for theirs and everyone else's own good. Please old town values with Mr Evans money should have us where we all want to be. Please more respect, everyone. Finally, Please, this decision has to be the most crucial for many a year, if it's rushed or wrong, we don't have much further to fall! |

marcus139, if your challenged by a simple analogy then get some rest. I'm just fed up with loads of unconstructive comments. You seem to think you have some definitive opinion that sweeps all before you aside. |
 | News Comment | Jewell Won't Quit as Redknapp Speculation Grows at 23:43:40
Certain posters of comments on here remind me of voters at elections. They demand change, learn nothing, forget everything and before you know it they're repeating the whole process again. If change is what we get, and that now appears likely, lets please, please learn from the last 3 or 4 years. If we don't and more importantly the club doesn't, then the demise of ITFC will reach depths that are frightening to even consider. It may be trying to relive former glory days and with the greatest of respect to PJ, who is still is in the job, I'd give serious consideration to Butcher. Someone who played under Robson, experience of being at a smaller club as well as the complete big time and someone who knows how to defend. |
 | News Comment | Jewell Frustrated By Failure to Take Chances at 00:28:39
I've been following town 40 years. I've seen town torn apart by Port Vale in years gone by as well many other pathetic performances. Over the years the more money town has had to spend the more disjointed town has become. We can't live in the past, like many other clubs but simple and basic things just seemed to have been lost or forgotten by the club. I'm frustrated like everyone else but what gets on my nerves more then anything else are the non constructive, negative and mainly ignorant comments of so called town fans. These are the same individuals who after seeing town go one down turn on the players rather then get behind the team. Things have got to change but as far as I'm concerned these fans can be the first to go, we're better off without you. You'd of been calling for Robson's head in the early years. Complain, rant if you want, but get behind the team or get out. |

Any player that's prepared to put the work in to playing for town as he has is welcome. Hope he can spread some of that desire in the rest of the squad. |
