TopMan Toto, it takes balls to apologise and the idiot that ran on to shove Walton needs to apologise as well. I was there last night passions were running high all through the game from Town fans it was as bad a performance as I can remember and I've seen a few in supporting Town over 56 years! as I said passions were high on the terraces just a shame the players don't show the same passion for the club or badge. It's going to be one of the most important Manager appointments in the Town's history, I hope and pray they get the right man as it will take someone with guts and determination to turn around the shower who wore the town shirt last night, Walton excluded! |

I have supported Town since 1966 and im so sorry to say that this team is the worst I have seen in the time ive been alive am 60 years old and the Town has never been out of the top two divisions in that time, but next year alas we will be in the third tier,perhaps it will be a good thing or perhaps we will do a Coventry,unfortunately with the present owner in place I think we will be emulating Coventry and maybe even worse, its time to sell, up Marcus Evans for the good of the club. |

I should have added to my posting that out of the 23 years Town had been in the Football League, football was suspended for 6 years due to WW2, , so in essence, Ipswich Town became Champions of England after just 17 full seasons, which makes Sir Alf's achievement all the more remarkable! |

How lucky you were to have been there at Portman Rd that day to witness what is and always will be THE greatest achievement of any football club, from non-league to Champions of England in the space of 23 years! it's surprising a film has not been made of this rags to riches story.That's why I will always be proud to be a supporter of Ipswich Town and we have so much to thank Sir Alf Ramsey and the Cobbolds for. |

Add me to the list Swn98 and rejoice along with us that we have finally got rid of a manager that halved the attendance ,couldn't hold a press conference without swearing,abused the fans at every opportunity,told ITFC fans at Norwich on national TV to F off,you snowflakes and happy clappers make me sick as if you had all had your way we would have had to endure another two years of that awful man with his boring tactics and bile.You all go on about how bad the fans behaved and said that's not the Ipswich way, well if you think having a manager that sets his team up to destroy and not create, uses foul language at most press conferences and abuses fans and never talked of his pride in managing ITFC,but about his own "brand" and couldnt accept critism is now the excepted way an Ipswich manager should behave, then you are the one who is not a true supporter as Alf Ramsey, Bobby Robson, and the Cobbolds would be spinning in their graves at how McCarthy treated the ITFC fans.Good riddance to him as another two years of McCarthy would have killed the club. |
