Hopefully on fairly soon second half. Tuanzebe could easily have got a second yellow |

If indeed we were in for Stansfield earlier in Jan, now that we have got Al-Hamidi, I don’t see why we would be interested in Moore. He is a completely different player and we would then potentially end up with Hirst, Al-Hamidi and Moore in the summer |

Talking some sense at last in the Pinkun about their display against Southampton… “I saw similar at Ipswich. We can talk about 14 years unbeaten. But had Jon Rowe not been absolutely ruthless, they would have been beaten comfortably and should have been. They are not reliant on patterns of play but on moments. We have to see a plan and a clear way forward“ |

Apologies if this has already been posted, but after 14 games last year, Burnley were top of the Championship with 25 points (same as Leeds’ current tally). Just goes to show how good a start us (34 pts with a game in hand) and Leicester (39 pts) have had… |

Back handed compliment about ITFC and in particular McKenna in today’s Times. Surprised there’s no mention of Mick McCarthy…. |

Anyone know why he wasn’t released by Town this week? |

I was talking recently with an ex Arsenal player about Paul Mariner. He was just breaking into the first team squad around the time that Mariner joined. Being from an Irish background and relatively junior at the time, he was the subject of bullying from one of the first team squad. Mariner became aware of the bullying and told the player (who had been at the club for a number of years) in no uncertain terms that it should stop. The bullying stopped immediately. He said that Mariner didn’t need to get involved, but that was just the sort of person he was. |

Couldn’t get a ticket in the away end today so settled for tickets in the home end. Having been brought up in the Robson years I was spoilt for great football. Living in Oxford I get to about 5 games a season and usually take my 10 year old son to most of those games. It hasn’t been easy for him being a Town fan in the middle of Oxfordshire over the last few seasons, so I couldn’t have been more proud of him today when Celina struck home and he leapt to his feet and cheered to silence around him! Youthful naivety, but clear passion. Even if we don’t go up this season, I am so optimistic for the next few years and I am even more pleased that my lad will be there to witness this next chapter of the club |

Not sure I like the guy, but he is doing an amazing job at Oxford on limited resources and a Covid depleted squad |
