Well he obviously wasn't willing to stay and really fight for his place. I don't believe for one second that him wanting to leave was to do with being homesick. He either didn't think he would ever get a spot in the team, wasn't willing to fight for a place in the squad or just didn't like the club. Whatever the reason, it's a shame, I thought having seen some footage on youtube that he looked a good player. Now we're 2 players down into January and it doesn't sound like we will be getting anyone else in. Worrying times but who knows what's around the corner.

The fact that he came here instead of Wolves, Fulham and Watford especially, shows he obviously loves playing here. I'm a bit more optimistic about our chances now if we can get him fully fit and in the starting 11.

A poor game from both sides really. I think our biggest problem is that we don't have a plan B. When teams suss us out and counter our direct style of play we don't change anything. We continue to hoof it to Murphy. Happened against Reading, Derby and plenty of others that we've lost to including Norwich today. We need a plan B when things aren't going our way. |

Was getting very nervous for a second there, but sounds like we defended well to get the three points.
Murphy, what a season he's having. We've been craving a 20+ goal scorer for years, turns out he was right under our noses! All he needs now is a hat-trick! He definitely deserves one.
2 points off 1st now, what a crazy league this is. Hopefully the Boro/Derby results go our way when they play their games in hand.
Things are looking good, let's go on a really good run now!

I would personally have Anderson in the team, I think he's very good at set pieces, he got the assist for Smith's goal against Millwall with a great free kick, and I think I'd have Tunnicliffe as well. He's impressed me both times I've seen him, you can see the Man Utd in him. Would play him either behind the strikers or in Tabb's position, with Tabb in the centre. I would take Hyam out as he really frustrated me against Leeds, he made a lot of mistakes that game. And I'd probably take Murphy out and play Nouble or Taylor (Taylor is obviously not fit but in an ideal world I'd play him). |

I find it incredible how quickly people change their minds about things. One minute everyone's saying we'll be in the play-offs, the next people are moaning and groaning that we're s***.
Come on guys, 2 games. 2 freaking games, and one was a cup tie. It amazes me how people lose faith so quickly. Just like Michael11 said, if we thrash Millwall everyone will do yet another U-turn and talk about the play-offs again.
In any case, I haven't lost any faith whatsoever, I'm still hugely optimistic about this season!

Not too worried about this as we had a different line up second half. Great to see Taylor get a goal, think he might be the dark horse of the team, if so, I can see us scoring a lot of goals next season. Mcgoldrick looks to be on top form at the moment, lets hope he'll carry this form over to the all important championship games.
All in all, it's been a very good pre-season for town, I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season!

This really needs to happen, Jimmy's that creative midfielder that we have been lacking in recent years, he's the kind of player who can pick out a pass that will get someone through on goal. His set piece taking is also something that we need in the team. We haven't had that sort of player since Magilton left.
