Lambert: It Could Have Been Three or Four
I'm loving the atmosphere, the football, the fact I am now expecting a win each time we play just like during Sir Bobby's time incharge.
The only thing nagging at me are the number of gilt edge chances we seem to be missing including penalties. I know some will say we can't be expected to score every single opportunity but we really need to be less profligate in front of goal otherwise it might come back to bite us on the backside. It would also help to increase our goal difference.
It's a shame we have such a long break now with Wycombe postponed but great to be top of the league. Hopefully it'll be the same come May.
Reasons for Relegation
Getting rid of McCarthy was probably a reason we got relegated but equally had he stayed he would have been the reason attendance would have disappeared and we wouldn't be getting promoted.
The man was a arrogant dinosaur and a cancer in the eyes of many supporters having told them to "F**k Off" at Carrow Road and he needed to be gone.
Just imagine if he'd had half the PR capabilities of Lambert, everyone would have backed him. Instead he is unemployed save for a caretaker role with Ireland.

I'm disappointed and angry and sad that I have witnessed the relegation of my club with so little obvious fight but it has been coming for many years since Evans took over and decided it was good idea to fire Jim Magilton and employ Roy Keane. He was given relatively speaking loads of money in an effort to get us promoted but it never happened and Evans decided he wasn't going to throw anymore money at it.
I have been fortunate to have seen the Robson years, Joe Royals exciting attacking football and George Burley's wonderful flowing passing game.
McCarthy did a great job keeping us up when he arrived but he was not one to change his style or attitude and we stagnated to such a degree that supporters got bored and in the end fell out with him.
This season we just haven't been good enough defensively and having allowed all our goal scorers to leave, ineffective up front.
I shall be there next season because I support the club and team and I hope Paul Lambert deliverers on what he has promised.
Bowman Joins McCarthy's Staff as Ireland Win in Gibraltar
Come on folks let's not get into more slagging each other off. The article is on here because he's a current Town employee. The fact he was employed by a previous manager who caused a split the fan base is incidental.
Ticket Promotion for Reading's Visit to Portman Road
If this encourages a decent crowd then fine by me I just hope the club remember those of us who forked out before the season even started and have done for many years. a decent price drop would be a nice surprise when those begging letters appear in the next couple of months.
Beware the Man With a Plan
Aside from the fact that having done the impossible and got to the promised land Sheepshanks & Co lost their collective heads instead of consolidating, that period was arguably the best the club and supporters have experienced outside of Ramsey wining the league and God Robson making us one of the best teams in Europe for a decade.
As a supporter I loved it, that feeling of expecting to win and being disappointed when we lost.
I'm not sure I agree with your cynical view point that it was all more by luck than judgement and I was saddened to see how the smaller local firms were treated when administration arrived.
Recent times since ME has been involved have been largely a waste and many fans have drifted away disenchanted with the football but unless you have the money to fund the club I believe you have to take a leap of faith that he is doing it for the right reasons. He certainly isn't making any money out of it.
As a fan I will be hoping it all comes right whether we survive or get relegated.
Bishop Targeting New Town Deal
No doubt for me we should be playing Bishop instead of Chalobah. Aside from being one of our own he is a better and more committed player.
Lambert: We Defended Fantastically
Pleased with the win of course but let's not get carried away. This was Rotherham not Real Madrid. My biggest concern was the inability to keep possession of the the ball in the second half when they pressured us. Goal kicks are an absolute joke constantly doing the same thing and even if we get a head on it they won the second ball and back it comes. Surely the players need to switch on and vary what they are doing.
Chalobah? Why is he playing all game every game? It's like his loan agreement includes a must play if fit clause.
Of the new players Collins was head and shoulders above them all - literally.
Dawkins on the other hand, well I know he only had 15 or 20 minutes but he was way out of his depth. Hope that changes but that was a real concern.
Town Confirm Elder Loan Signing
Personally I am more than happy with Kenlock and would rather we got a right back in so Spence can be rested.
Blues Linked With Bridcutt Talks
Given where we were at before Lambert got some belief into the team I'm happy to trust his judgement. I just hope Evans is similarly minded and backs him financially.
If we can pick up a couple more wins over Christmas/New Year and get the players in that Lambert wants things will look a lot better in 2019.
Chambers: Strength of Championship Was Underestimated
Whatever anyone thinks about Chambers ability on the pitch he is a great diplomat. There are too many rumours doing the rounds of unrest between Hurst Doige and the players for there to be no substance to them. Hopefully Lambert can sort the squad out and put some points on the board early and get to January without us being cut adrift then Evans backs him financially.
A decent crowd on Saturday would be a useful place to start.
Town Confirm Hurst and Doig Depart
Pleased to see the back of Hurst but not sure that Lambert is the right choice. Having said that beggars can't be choosers.
Hopefully the players will step up for Bryan Klugg on Saturday and start getting us up the league before it really is too late.
