Additional Sales Restriction For Norwich Tickets

Blueblood90, it’s not hilarious at all.

If you read the post carefully my point is that members who have paid a fee and been to 2 home games, or even 5 away games, should have priority (as promoted at the time in the literature to market those memberships) over someone being gifted (or paying £500 on black market) a ticket that a current season ticket holder has obtained as an extra.

Additional Sales Restriction For Norwich Tickets
at 09:47:28

This is very poor. The main benefit of the membership was to give non season ticket holders a chance to go to a match ahead of them all getting snapped up as extras by season ticket holders. I’ve got three young family members who have bought memberships (not season tickets like I have) and ‘only’ bought two home tickets so far, yet they are being completely overlooked and won’t be able to go to this match. Instead they’ll be bought by season ticket holders and sold or given to people who have t expressed any interest or commitment to the club thus far. That’s a terrible plan from ITFC, their first big mistake, but for THE biggest match since they’ve taken over.

Or have I missed something??

Town Confirm Williams Loan Signing
at 13:46:46

An exciting loan addition who will push Davis for sure, and maybe can provide different options for other positions. KM clearly knows him well which would have been a big factor for him coming here. No mention of a buy clause? Can't wait for another rocking Portman Rd game on Saturday v Leeds!

Burns: Player of the Year? I Know Who's Getting My Vote
at 08:11:26

Even our worst player, not even sure who that would be, is better than our best player of the previous 10 seasons, that's how good we look now and how good a job KM has done:

Our club looks and acts, both on and off field, from players to manager to Board to owners to fans to community to back room teams, like it belongs at least one league ahead of where we are, if not two.

We've still got to work and focus to secure this promotion, but I am extremely positive about prospects of getting back to Premier League status in the next 2-3 seasons. With the Board and owners we now have, the willingness to go straight out and further strengthen the already hugely impressive group of players next season, we will be a real force to be reckoned with next year.

Penney: Exciting Time to Be an Ipswich Player
at 08:25:56

Great interview and nice to hear genuine comments that feel real and not scripted or rehearsed. No gloss as someone said. I like Penney, and it seems all the players are really revelling under KM.

Exciting times for all of us Matt!

Blues in Walton Talks as Brighton Consider Keeper's Future
at 15:30:15

Need to clear a couple of loans out to make room for Man Utd cast offs like Ronaldo and Rashford.

But seriously, I can see a couple of ‘impact' loans coming in for second half of the season, likely ones that McKenna knows well from fringes of Prem

McKenna: It’s Pleasing That They’ve Met My Standards So Far
at 10:55:40

Ive heard 'more schoolteacher than leader', and similar phrases in recent weeks. I agree that on camera he doesn't exactly come across as passionate and full of beans, but I think we have to remember that he hasn't been used to anywhere near as much camera action and demands of PR, journalists etc as he is now. He's been a little bit in the shadows of a high profile manager so its one part of his skillset that he will no doubt improve as time goes by. I'm not sure I care.

But, have we got the right footballing brain, tactician, coach and man manager that we need right now? For me its a definite yes.

Town Closing in On McKenna
at 16:50:11

What a complete breath of fresh air this would be.

"No managerial experience" I hear some of you say. Well he's very highly rated by some of the best in this sport that we're not doing very well at, so maybe we should shut up and listen to them. He's been working day in day out with global superstar footballers so if he can handle those prima donnas then I'm confident he can handle ours.

Swiping aside someone's 'teacherly' flippant remark, which is all the media have grabbed hold of, he sounds like he's got a better grasp of tactics and modern day coaching than our last 5 or 6 'experienced' managers added together.

Of course its a gamble, but you can bet your bottom dollar that Ashton et al will have researched him to death before giving him the role, so don't lets start to think we know better.

Come on and get behind your team and (hopefully) new manager. he just might be the guy to take us to our promised land....

Chelsea Legends Lampard and Terry Linked

Seems ridiculous that we might be considering Lampard (prefer him to JT), but let's remember that Lamps is great mates with Drogba, and we know who Drogba is connected to. Just sayin'

Lincoln City 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 09:15:11

Our season proper will begin when we have Morsy, Celina and Edwards in the team regularly, and match fit.

I was hugely impressed with Morsy v WestHan, regardless of the result. He's a natural leader and dominates that area of midfield and always wants the ball. Edwards has shown us already in glimpses what quality he has and we all know Celina's ability to win games. I also think Carroll is starting to show what a key player he's going to be too, his quality is emerging.

When Morsy has completed serving his suspension and is in, then give 3 or 4 games and we will, I believe, go on one hell of a run. Anything we get before then is a bonus.

Cook: Recruitment Has Been of a Very High Standard
at 16:04:07

We will come good, we have enviable quality throughout the team, momentum will be established and when we start winning, by god we're going to be frightening to other teams.

The only small 'but' is that we really do need that captain figure in the middle of the park. I'm sure Evans is a better player than we've seen so far, but even then I don't see him as a commanding, motivating ITFC captain.

Town Confirm Celina Loan Signing
at 09:43:10

Kudos to Ashton, who someone said above is actually our best signing of the the decade.

Second best may well be Celina. Fantastic signing.

It'll be interesting to see how quickly he can get match fit. He's off to international duty for 3 games so if he was particularly out of shape then surely he wouldn't be going? lets see how many games he plays for Kosovo, pray he doesn't get injured, and then welcome him with open arms back to his ITFC home!!

Ashton: There Feels a Distance Between the Fans and the Club

My comment on the headline to one side, everything else is indeed being addressed and it's once again starting to be a good time to be an ITCF fan. Really excited to be looking forward to this season, just gutted I'm on holiday for the first home game. Bad planning on my part!

I agree the headline could have been better thought through, and kinda reflects Cooks point (or was it Ashtons) about fan's negativity.

It's a negative, glass half empty headline rather than a positive, glass half full approach.

Gibbs Set For Norwich Subject to Compensation Agreement
at 12:44:44

If he hasn't shown the real desire to stay and have fire in his belly, as seems to be the yardstick for Cook/ITFC, then I can understand us not bending over backwards to keep him. No doubt he's been aware of bigger teams interested in him and is attracted by the money and prospects of playing in higher leagues. I'm sure he'll go on to do well, though hopefully not at NCFC.
