Norwood: The Issue Comes When People Start Talking About Personal Lives
at 18:18:06

Buzbyblue, is your comment meant in humour? If so, fair play and I hope everyone reads the sarcasm

If not, you better take another read of the article, or get someone to read it for you if you’re struggling with some of the words, as you’ve clearly missed the whole point that Nors has articulated pretty well.

Town Takeover Completed
at 11:17:27

Wow. I did think it was still a strong possibility as things went a bit quiet but the reality of it is pretty astounding. This could be a HUGE turning point for all things ITFC and will get the crowds and supporters right back behind the team

I was never an ME hater but his time had ran its course.

Gill and Klug to Take Caretaker Charge as Cook in Talks

This is a positive step 1 in the process.

The new buyers will have insisted that Evans cleans up his own mess and any severance costs related to Shambert will be suffered by Evans, not by new owners.

What an utter embarrassment. I’d rather keep Lambert than idiots like these, and that’s saying something.

Town Closing in On Parrott Loan Signing
at 12:40:33

It bewilders me some of the comments on here. How can this be seen as anything but positive?

Yes he hasnt scored for Millwall but Spurs rate him and they are no fools. He must have Prem level potential so we should be delighted. Spurs will have requirements in the deal and will have discussed how we will use him and develop him, so that will be interesting

Whether he can adapt to our system and do well with us remains to be seen, of course, but moving Jackson on and this lad in seems like a positive step.

Will he start in the first XI or will Norwood??

Agree with billlm, too harsh.

We’ve got to see this as positive, let’s see what difference fresh faces who want to impress make to the rest of the team. Sometimes it’s just something to catalyse change, and the ripple effect can be powerful

Fleetwood Game in Doubt as Positive Covid Tests Now 11
at 08:03:21

Firstly and most importantly, I hope everyone gets better and remains healthy. Sending best wishes...

Secondly, I so hope that this break means that by the time we start playing again we get two or three injured players back.

Does anyone know which ones are closest to returning? I’ve lost track!

Huws: Hopefully I'll Push On and Get a Few More
at 13:37:03

He might be a half decent player but we've never seen him play enough games to really have an opinion. I hope he gets that chance now that others are in the treatment room

Ive supported this club for 50 years and I hope to support it for the next 50. I haven't commented on here for years but I'm a bit sick of all the negativity being peddled around of late. Regardless of games in hand for other teams (and in other times most would be saying 'would rather have points in the bag', but no we choose to be negative...) we are 2 points off the top of the table. Two points!!

When we had our team fully fit we were playing well, scoring goals, looking comfortable and top of the table. For our young, much less experienced squad to keep us that close to the top should be applauded. No we haven't played as well, but that shouldn't be a surprise. We've battled and those young players will have learned, but we can't berate them for not being as good as the first team. Applaud them, give constructive criticism by all means, build their confidence and as we get our best players back I for one am optimistic that goals and results will follow and we could easily find ourselves in a genuine automatic promotion battle. Won't that be a treat to have that excitement given recent years!?

I'm not Lamberts greatest fan, but I do have sympathy for his position. We haven't played so well, we've thrown games away, but if he just says every game that we're rubbish then what does that do the morale and motivation of those emerging young players in the dressing room? he has to keep their heads up, he's managing a team and trying to get the best out of them every week. Once in a while he's bound to lose his temper, and for me that just shows he's passionate about winning.

So lets stop beating the players up, stop kicking Lambert (until the end of the season at least), accept that without Evans we'd be in an even worse position, be patient as injuries heal and get behind this once great club to genuinely be the 12th (albeit virtual) man and drive them forward, not into the ground.

If we lose to Peterborough, which we may well, lets pick them up, dust them down and encourage them to go again.

I'm not telling people not to be frustrated, cos I get that, I really do, but nothing is going to change ref Lambert or Evans, so lets turn the negative energy into positive.

Town Accept Peterborough Bid for Moore
at 15:07:28

Is it just me, or doesn’t this read as though Posh have made an offer, but we haven’t accepted it (as the headline says) but rather bounced it back with our own load of conditions, which is why Fry says his chairman might not like it. If we’d actually accepted the offer then his chairman wouldn’t have anything to think about.

Austin Agrees Burnley Deal - Reports
at 12:29:45

How can we possibly throw a hissy fit when we have no idea what personal terms he was insisting on. Clegg does know the finances and if he deems this lad too expensive then he's doing that for the good of the club. We dont know the whole picture and if he's just after the money then good luck to him and find someone else who has a real desire to play at the right kind of club that we are.

Get over it folks, get some perspective and have some patience.

Two More Strikers Set to Move On?
at 16:50:22

Steady should stay only if we dont get 2 x new strikers. I'd rather have 2 new and lose Steady.

But, of all the 'old' strikers, Steady is the one I'd rather keep, above Priskin too.

As for JW price of £2.75m - thats just snooker loopy

Two More Strikers Set to Move On?
at 16:39:11

There's no way they'll let Steady go unless they've got a guaranteed replacement, and probably two. I reckon Stead and pablo are both on good wages so nice to see them moved on and the budget freed up a bit more.

2 new strikers and a fit Wickham to choose from, with backup from Murray and Priskin.... sound ok?

with new wide midfielder to replace Walters and Townsend on the left. Thats sounding more promising....?

Stoke Confirm Walters Switch
at 16:34:18

I'm sure Keane has lodged his wish list with Clegg - its now up to him to spend it wisely and close the deals, not Keane.

Dont panic buy, but we cant wait too long as the combo of Stead and Priskin isnt going to set the championship alight and Norris wont keep on scoring to ease the pressure!

When is Wickham due back?

Town Set for New Chopra Offer

Now that really would be an exciting pairing upfront that has the potential to set the Championship alight.

Might Chopra be worried that he'll be overshadowed by a 17yr old??

Come on Keane and Clegg - do the deal and get it done so we can focus on the rest of the team.

Who would he keep to come off the bench... Pabs and ...?

Town Again Linked With Scunthorpe\'s Hooper
at 09:52:39

We're 7th in the table if you look at the last 6 months alone (I said 6th yesterday in my earlier post, apologies, wishful thinking!!) - it wouldn't take much impact for a couple of good buys to move that trend.

That 7th spot is only 3 pts from 4th spot. A half-regular scorer would have made the difference and turned just one or two of those draws into wins and we'd be 4th.

Ok, I know we're not, but its all about looking at the trend of our performances going into next year.

However, that 7th place is still 17 points off second spot for the last 6 months so it needs to be a big change for us to contend for automatic promotion. Lets leave our sights at play-offs and be realistic (?!).

There are 2 teams who have led this division, head and shoulders above the rest, but anyone else is capable of securing a play off position.

We think we've been doing badly, not scoring enough, not enough passion/skill, too many draws, too inconsistent etc, but if we're still 7th with all those failings, then things arent so bad.

My closing comment is that whatever happens in the transfer market, we simply HAVE to finish above Norwich next season.
