Not saying it will be an enjoyable watch but for those of us who could not get tickets today the full game is on Sky game of the day in about an hour.....
Just an observation. Bottom 3 are the three teams who were promoted in the same positions as we Leicester and Soton went up. I don’t expect that the league will finish this way and I expect many twists and turns but the table does not lie in terms of the massive gulf between the PL and EFL. I still think we are doing better than any of the other promoted sides in terms of historic parachute payments and squads as many have said here. The Fulham result today makes me think we can get a result against Chelsea…..
I looked at Odds checker this morning. The odds on Man City going down are now shorter than those of Palace and West Ham! How times change. Southampton are favorites and we have the same odds as Leicester with Wolves close behind. The bookies essentially make it 3 from 4 to be relegated which I suppose is a fair reflection of where we are at right now......
I never managed any football team apart from on Championship Manager so feel free to rip me to pieces for this thread! We have often played Ben Johnson in a higher role this season. Leif os arguably better than Johnson going forward so why not play him in a higher role and bring Townsend in at left back? He would also arguably a better defender (Leif) when we are really under pressure.
I had a B at Maths GCSE. We beat Spurs 2-1 last week and Spurs have beaten City 4-0 just now. 4+2 = 6. The 1 stays the same. So 6-1 we would have won tonight
Sky sports have a 4/5 min clip of the highlights of Delap this season, all his goals and hitting the post against Brighton and Brentford. I thought Hutchinson was our best player going into the season but he is eclipsed by Delap. We have not had such a good player at Ipswich since the last time we were in the Premier league. Arguably should be called up by England. He's an amazing player.
Got a ticket to the Newcastle game today described as a "Severely Restricted View" seat. Got a "Restricted View" seat previously and its not been too bad but "Severely" suggests I will still have a stiff neck on Christmas day. Anyone know how bad this will be?
Shearer wasn't very complimentary about us tonight. That graph of statistics wasn't good reading....but I suppose games are not played using graphs. Interesting that Theo Walcott attributed some of the blame on OShea for the last game. Don't know how stubborn McKenna is...but I'm desperate for Walton to start.
