Thread | Soft underbelly, but massive improvement

Not been there today due to being at work (where I am now) but seems we have performed excellently in comparison the old regime. So things definitely on the up. The downside remains we struggle to hold onto a lead and I suspect much like the fans, the players are not surprised when we concede late on, no doubt PL will work on this. The positives of today will no doubt be blighted by the late equaliser and the fact everyone else around us seemed to do well.
The gap remains, its not a chasm but it is concerning, but in PL we seem to have the formula to recover. What he and we need are probably additions to the playing staff to give a further lift. Onwards and upwards. |

So is that the last time we see Bart as first choice this season? A handful of games where we have had some bad luck, individual mistakes and some collectively poor defending. I just hope Gerken has improved from the mistake prone keeper he was in the MM reign - time will tell but if this was going to happen this soon then why the hell not sell Bart when the money was on the table in the close season? |

We were always going to struggle when failing to get a proper CB in during the window, but has Chambers rushed back? Seems off the pace and possibly still injured? |

Living in the North East I am aware Newcastle have banned bags being taken to games due to security fears. As a long distance traveller to as many home games as I can get to, I tend to bring a bag to carry ipads, music players and other things which we use on the train journey - including a jacket as its nearly 10pm when I get back home from a home game. Does the club currently have a ban in place? And if so are there size constraints? |

After our first goal a town fan was forcibly removed by the Stewards - all of whom looked like they double as nightclub bouncers. Whilst waiting for the train back to Leeds, one of said stewards saw my Ipswich shirt and suggested they had removed him for being racist........hmmm.
What was more concerning was his assertion that they are always looking to throw someone out, and in fact with Forest down there Tuesday were hoping for more ejections, and of course he loves Leeds because they get to throw out loads.
I know we moan about our stewards at times but they are pretty good based upon that! |
