| News Comment | Cardiff City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:43:09
I just think they're knackered, the schedule and pitches recently have been heavy. 1 defeat and half the fan base hits the wibble button - you can't win every week. Frustrating, maybe - but 5 defeats all season in a new league is an amazing record. 9 Cup Finals. This can be done. Let's cheer them all the way #COYB |
| News Comment | Middlesbrough 0-2 Ipswich Town - Extended Highlights at 14:45:04
That away kit is a thing of beauty. Nearly as good as the football played in it. Long day but a great day. Long trips home are better when you've 3 points in your back pocket. Roll on Tuesday evening. COYB |
| News Comment | Ashton: Never a Perfect Time to Rebuild a Stand at 21:26:34
I'd never considered the Cobbold as the main stand but it does make a lot of sense. Extra facilities and a permanent fanzone area for match days etc all facing the Town would work really well. And an outside chance of some legroom too, it really is a squeeze in there |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 3-2 Plymouth Argyle - Match Report at 10:52:07
Winning ugly is still winning. Wasn't that ugly either but we were not at our best. Too many errors overall but great performances all over the pitch against a side looking to prove a point. Wasn't a penalty but seen them given. 3 more points. Could be worse, could be Norwich! Enjoy the ride. COYB |
| News Comment | Tomasson: First Half Cost Us the Game at 10:43:53
They're a slick passing side and they cut us open for a couple of their goals - but I thought they were too quick at times, it was all one touch stuff when maybe slowing it down a bit would have allowed better decisions. Very quick moving forward, but so were we. Taking nothing away from a spirited Town performance and 3 more points. Bouncing. COYB |
| News Comment | Burns: I'm Proud of Omari, He Deserved His Goal at 12:34:08
Excellent interview, you can sense the discipline, effort and work ethic in place all through this. And what a performance from everyone all over the pitch - whilst not having the lion's share of the ball we weren't ever seriously troubled. Southampton just huffed and puffed all night and Wes tells us it was all expected. Awesome. I hope the boys didn't use the M3 as it was a nightmare getting out. Thanks to Highways England for that one! But you can't kick those with 3 points in their pocket and what a great night. Can't wait till Saturday now. COYB |
| News Comment | McKenna: A Wonderful Way to Win a Game at 21:49:45
In summary, don't park the bus against us as we'll find you out. Great performance from everyone in blue today, they fought hard all over the pitch. Felt we were a little slow at the back and got suckered punched for 2 classic away goals, but once we got one we knew we were going to get more. Great atmosphere, awesome grit from the team and 3 more points. Bouncing. COYB |
| News Comment | Baggott in Indonesia U23s Squad at 18:45:46
Had an excellent game last night, seemed to be everywhere in the defensive third. Great squad player and stepping up quickly with it |
| News Comment | Ainsworth: There Was Nothing in the Game at 18:58:34
I was in the home end with a QPR-supporting mate. He maintains (and was proved correct) that their starting 11 is good enough but they have zero depth from the bench. And so it proved - we did, they didn't. Thought they pushed us hard for 65mins until their injuries kicked in. Thought we rode our luck a lot but from 70mins out there was only going to be one winner. Unpopular opinion - we can't afford the luxury that Wes Burns provides us, it isn't paying us back. Time to bench him. COYB |
| News Comment | Town Assessing Walton Injury at 04:14:24
I'm not surprised 6 matches has been mentioned as it's not nice. A good opportunity for Hladky to get a run out and he's more than capable. Pre-season fan jitters are part of the deal and should settle once we're all back into it - remember we got promoted in style, have a manager that knows his onions and a squad good enough to ride out issues like this. Nothing to see here. COYB |
| News Comment | Luongo: I'd Love to Stay at 20:19:00
Sign. Him. Up. A massive part of our 2nd half improvement in so many ways. Takes the pressure off Sam resulting in less bookings for him and together they are a formidable duo and amongst the best in League One. Unlucky not to score on Tuesday and is surely due one tomorrow. Bring it on |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Bakinson Loan Signing at 17:40:35
I think this points towards formation/shape flexibility during games if we need a bit more bite through the middle. Drop the number 10 role and park another body in midfield. This could work if he's the right type of player but let's hope the alleged attitude doesn't turn up with him. Could turn out to be a real star so good luck to him, it's on him now |
| News Comment | EFL Drop Matchday Testing at 22:44:16
Blues1 - my point around flu and covid deaths being broadly similar relates to Covid deaths since the start of the mass vaccination programme. We'll get to the point where we won't need to test for either |
